Before all the M$ stuff comes up; they do pretty well as a publisher and keeps their IPs unique.
I don't get a Halo feel when I play Lost Odyssey

I honestly don't want EA in any of my games. Flame or not, it is how I feel.
Thats what I was saying wasn't it?Dethateer wrote...
Actually, pirates will either buy the games when they find them, or never buy them at all. The second category isn't lost sales because they wouldn't buy anyway, the first one represents sales.

Be happy that EA's douchebaggery pales in comparison to Activision.

As Blk already pointed out, you shouldn't feel badass in a DS game. You should feel afraid. And angry, but only at the end of the game.
[e]That doesn't chage the fact that grabbing a Ripper for the first time and mowing down s**t felt awesome, though.

You referring to their complete destruction and compromising of the Warcraft lore/franchise taking the soul of the series and replacing it with a spirit of commercialization?

It can't get any simpler than that.

It's lost sales since they don't get paid.

OK, but you are all speaking in a tone of accusation of EA/Visceral in that they're doing something ridiculous like removing horror and making it a power play. They're just breaking up the hyper-intense onslaughts with some moments to take a breath, or moments where you get some new power that allows you to easily overcome the onslaught of necros for just a little bit.
Maybe we should wait for more information until we throw around "turning into Call of Duty" or some sort of stupidity like that.
Maybe I just didn't phrase what I meant right, because I'm agreeing with what you say 100%. Yet we appear to be arguing.Dethateer wrote...

No, they're not lost sales. They would be lost sales if those people pirated instead of buying. Since they have no intention of buying anyway, even with an uncrackable, unintrusive, anti-piracy system, the devs still wouldn't get money from them. For all intents and purposes, that category doesn't exist from a sales point of view.
Well good thing I care more about having a good time, and having a good game rather then the developer/and or publisher.TJSolo wrote...

Easier said then done with how EA acquires developer after developer after developer.
After ME3 it will be done. Until then I buy with a grimace, play, and post.

Ah. I was pointing out one aspect of their douchebaggery. You point out another. Kudos.
The "hate my life" thing was an exaggeration. I know you can take a stance, and I never said you were alone...TJSolo wrote...

I have been without a NFL video game for years now. I get by.
The whole developer/publisher problem isn't just mine as others in this very thread have issues with Activsion and Ubi, I can not say for others if their issues led to similar stances but I can not exclude it.
One can take a stance against any product(good, bad, or ugly) or company and have a perfectly fine life.
I do see the "everyone wantz to play!!11!!" In EA...dear god I wish they'd just develop awesome games and let that speak for them.Dethateer wrote...

Uhuh. Getting back on-topic (sort of), if EA would just STFU, and give the devs free reign instead of trying to please everyone (I'm sure someone said that on the first page already), more people would be a hell of a lot happier.
