I think it's a kick-ass piece of art. The love and care put into the details is mind boggling.

But i only see it as a cute girl in a Tali-suit.



1.) Its a human girl, not an alien

2.) Glowing eyes

3.) Grunt says: aliens are all soft... but Quarians not so much. So, according to ingame-codex Quarians have a different uh density... this should affect the facial skin at least. If "skin" at all...

Because everyone probably already knows. It's just a disconnect between the player character and the player (similar to Shepard taking off Tali's mask, with him seeing it and not you). It's probably not one extranet search away, anyways and Fornax DOES include naked quarians (a stab at Talimancers, though, I'm not sure). I just read for Krogasm pictures and articles though.
And Simon, 'hard' refers to their enviro-suits.

Like it or not, but Tali will look good. She already has a MASSIVE fanbase which BioWare would be STUPID to 'betray' by making her ugly. There'd be no rhyme or reason to uglify her really, other than to anger her fanbase, which while amusing... would not be very smart from a business perspective.

because they're sealed up in enviro suits their entire lives....do you know what would happen to YOUR skin if you stayed covered ALL THE TIME...it'd be pale...nasty...probably kinda squishy..slimey..etc.

realistically there skin, unless it's hard like a turians, should be in rather disgusting shape.

They live in suits! They don't get sunlighty, if they had hair it would be disgusting. The thing is who cares if shes ugly. Will Talimancers realy care if they like her personality. I think Bioware should make her ugly just too see how many Tali fans liked her because of her personality.

I could understand their skin being in rough shape (maybe) but we're also looking at this from a standpoint of human biology.  OUR skin would be a complete wreck if we were in our suits constantly, for all we know Quarian biology prevents that. 

Also, I could be wrong, but don't Quarians have a means of showering (either built into the suit or in a sterile environment)?

I too hope they take a REALISTIC approach to this rather then a fan service.....FACT..they should be weak..pale-ish (in regards to their natural skin tone)..kinda weak looking..soft..squishy...hair, if any, all nasty and greasy...etc....and honestly..they would STINK.

but I'm sure Bio will just release Asari 2.0 if they ever actually show us what they look like.

 Its a great picture. Personally, I envision Tali with having a paler and more alien tone and texture to her skin, but I especially like what you have done with her eyes. When I look at a Quarian and try to imagine what they look like, I always start with their eyes and nose because they are the only features that we get a hint of through the mask. Their eyes really seem to just glow behind their masks, so I think what you did with her eyes is what sells me on the idea that this could be what she looks like. I also like that you chose to show her with hair. I've seen a lot of people argue that Quarians don't have any, but I disagree. I envision Quarians with hair because of how the females wear their hoods. I think that the reason women wear hoods and men don't is because it supposed to symbolize the beauty of their hair that is now concealed by the biosuits.

You're assuming they have skin pigmentation in the same way humans do. I'm in your camp when it comes to the fact Tali and other quarians will probably be pale, though you can't leave out other possibilities (such as 'omg purple').

But yeah, ugliness is doubtful when BioWare has such a massive fanbase on their hands.

I think it'd be nice to portray them semi-realistically as well but that's not up to me to decide.

What really amuses me about these arguments is how there's a divide between people who want Tali to be cute and people who want her to be ugly simply to spite the people who want Tali to be cute.  Not everyone falls into those categories but it's a fun (and meaningless) battle nonetheless.

Seriously though, I am fine with whatever they decide to do with Tali. I like her, but I'm not obsessive.
