Cyro Ammo, I never ever use it. Incendiary ammo is probably the mose usefull of the three. Anyone else have any other opinions?

Woops, forget to add a statement here, my bad. I think Cyro ammo is probably the worst ammo there is out there, anyone else want to share their thoughts on way i should bother to spend points in it?

I LOVE cryo ammo. It's great against synthetics, just pop the cryo ammo icon into your HUD and when a geth prime or a heavily armored merc comes at you, switch from your fav ammo to the cryo by pressing the number button that you have it assigned to and your Shepard character will switch-out the ammo, now, just point the cryo at the bad guy and give him a few shots then either switch back to your other ammo and give him the coup de gras or have one of your squad mates finish him off. He will shatter into a million frozen fragments! Yee Haaawwwww!

My experience:
Vanguard and Soldier:
Squad Cryo Ammo is pretty awesome at times, and is the best against geth as far as I am concerned. Inferno is the best overall for me, the panic effect it causes for the organic foes is invaluable.
Infiltrator/Sentinel: I used Tungsten/Warp, both were pretty good.
Adept, Engineer: used squad Inferno/AP ammo from Grunt/Garrus
Vanguard and Soldier:

Not really complaining. Just stating some of the bad experiences. There were mostly good ones, like burning or ice statue enemies.

Shredder Ammo is by far the worst. Only useful on health? Nty, I'd rather just hit an un guarded enemy with a biotic attack.

Depends.
All ammo types have their uses. Your difficulty also determines usefulness.
Shredder ammo on Hardcore or insanity loses most of its usefulness.
Cryo ammo is incredibly useful against husks, provided you stripped all their armor or are playing on veteran or lower.

Yes, shredder is laughably bad, it's definitely the worst. Warp is great because you can put it on and never really have to change it. Inferno was my staple, and i had squad cryo for my squad (you put squad cryo on then inferno, the squad keeps the cryo while you have inferno). Disruptor, obviously, really shone on geth missions, and i never bothered with AP ammo, i prefer inferno.
edit: on lower difficulties then shredder will shine, but its still only 10% more dmg to health than AP, which also dmg's armour obviously. 20% better than inferno, and 30% better than warp on health, but again these are also powerful defence strippers and so are more versatile.

Shredder is at the bottom of my list, and all the others have their uses in different situations, incendiary probably being the most versatile. I just wish that when you have multiple squad mates with squad ammo, it wouldn't bug out between them. I have squad power usage off too, and they still do their own thing for the most part.

I'm surprised Disruptor isn't on most people's favorite list. Next to Warp ammo, it's the most versatile: It can rip through shields, overload synthetics, and overheat organics' guns. Like Warp, you can use it on anyone.
Cryo has its use. You just never want to level it above Rank 1 unless it's for the Squad version. They are great on pistol and sniper because they have a 100% freezing chance.
My soldier class has Squad Disruptor + Squad Incendiary ammos, And I generally don't give squaddies ammo power so that ppl like Jacob and Grunt don't change into their rank 1 Incendiary when I don't want them to. Also saved up some points so that Zaeed and Thane can focus on kick-ass abilities. Rank 4 Conc Shot + Inferno Grenade = pawnage.

Warp/Disruptor is my favorite, but shredder is bottom of the list, its not useful in any situation really.

Inferno is my favourite by FAR since I play a Vanguard, and right after that it's Cryo because freezing enemies is awesome.
Sure, I never use Cryo on my own gun, but that doesn't stop my squadmates from using it while I use Inferno. There's nothing better than watching an entire battlefield get frozen in place.

Thane's Shredder Ammo is absolutely worthless since it only works on unprotected organic enemies.
Cryo Ammo can be useful every now and then since it incapacitates enemies and makes them more vulnerable to damage; but since its only effective against unprotected enemies its not that useful.
Incendiary ammo is great against armor, stops health regeneration and it panics a lot of unprotected organic enemies. The absolute best ammo against armored organics.
Armor Piercing ammo from Garrus is like incendiary ammo except it does even more damage to armor and it does bonus damage to synthetic and organic health although it doesn't stop health regeneration or panic organics.
Disruptor ammo is great against shields and does extra damage to synthetics and incapacitates them; plus it overheats the weapons of unprotected organics.
Warp Ammo is the best ammo in the game, very effective against armor and any unprotected enemy, plus its the only ammo which is effective against barriers which is great for any class without warp since they lack an effective attack against barriers. Plus it does extra damage to any enemy effected by biotics so its still great for adepts and absolutely devastating for Vanguards since it gives them a replacement for warp and lights up any enemy affected by pull.

Every Vanguard should be using Incendiary (Inferno) Ammo with the optional Squad Cryo for their squad. Seriously.

I thought Cryo was a waste of time. Once you get it to Squad version it's okay.... but that's 10 points. It does no extra damage against anything nor does it have a secondary effect (like Disruptor's overheat and Warp's extra damage to biotically-held). Utter turd.
To be honest I didn't think Shredder ammo was that bad. It isn't as useful as stuff like AP and Warp ammo, of course, but at least it actually does something useful. On my current Infiltrator I have one point in Cryo and put it on my SMG. All you need to do is shoot someone once, or maybe twice, and they freeze. It makes krogan much easier. It's good Crowd Control. I like it.

I am smiling in remembrance of the old days when I had this discussion with fellow players. I actually even made a poll for this and the results were as predicted: Shredder Ammo and Cryo Ammo are weak compared to Warp, AP and especially Incendiary Ammo (it having an upper hand over the first two due to being a default class power).

squad cryo for my vanguard. i actually edit out all my squadmates' ammo so they won't override it. it's not necessarily the omgwtfpwn best, but it's definitely the most fun for this class.
