I have always (2 play throughs) gone for the sniper rifle on
the collectors ship.  How good is the assault
rife??????

 

I love playing a solider and in my opinion the assault rife
is the go-to weapon for that class, but I love that sniper rifle.

Has anyone picked up the assault rifle????  How good is it????????

The Revenant is very strong, but it's inaccurate and it has alot of recoil. You can make the gun more controllable by upgrading the accuracy. It has a lot of ammo and a large clip.

Keep in mind though that if you play through Haestrom on Hardcore or Insanity you get the Geth Pulse Rifle at the end; a little less power and penetration, but it's extremely accurate with the upgrade.

anywayz; if u wanna use tha soldier u might wanna go with the revenant if that iz what u askin.

u can pick tha widow tho but u wont do tha damage a infiltrator can do with dat weapon.

I got the GPR in my NG+, because I already had the Widow. The GPR is good, better then my previous AR (Collector), but it is too weak. The Revenant gives me the same feeling as the HMWA X in ME1: ultimate ownage:devil: and because I can't be an invinsible soldier with a never overheating gun anymore everything that reminds me of ME1 becomes my favorite.

@themastakillah: Soldiers can be very deadly with the Widow, don't forget that Soldier's special power is Adrenaline Rush and combine Hightened Adrenaline Rush (the game slowls down with 70%)  with the Widow and the right ammo and you have a very deadly Sniper.

^^^ i know i finished tha game with all classes [ - engineer] but the soldier dont do the damage an assassin do.. and tha cloak is more accurate than adrenaline rush...

Soilders are better with the Incisor Sniper Rifle since it is semi automatic allowing you to pull off a lot of shots in Adrush mode. The Widow is better for Infiltrators.
