I have been getting emails for a couple of weeks now, asking me to verify that my World of Warcraft account is really mine.
According to the mails, something wierd is happening with the account and if I don't act imediatly, my account will be locked permanently.
Of course the fun bit is that I do not play World of Warcraft.
And I don't use that email account for anything game-related anyway.
Now I have been reading the mails though just out of curiosity.
This last one made me laugh:

If I did play world of warcraft, was I seriously expected to send a mail with my complete details, including password and secret question and answer?
If they were sending a serious mail to a real account, would they need the reply to include the account email address???
Why don't they also ask for my Visa Card while they are at it?

Ah scammers... a timeless internets evil. Nothing like capitalizing on fear and gullibility to rope marks. I can't imagine that tactic has a high success margin in this day and age. Or maybe I'm overestimating the average WoW player.

Wow that is terrible. If you send me all of your personal details I will ask them to stop.

No pun intended I take it
You will first have to mail me all your personal data though so I can verify that you are you before I mail you all of my data.
