My Shepard is based on me, so I'm pretty paragon. But...

I told the council to cram their offer up their asses. I am really fed up with them!

I beat the crap outta Elias in Thane's loyalty mission.

I set the krogan in Mordin's loyalty mission on fire while he was talking about eating salarian eggs.

I saved the base at the end. If there's an option to join Cerberus in ME3, I'll take it. I'm sick of the Council!

Other than that, I am one of the nicest guys ever.

THIS, AND THIS.

He's a f*cking criminal. It's what makes Turians hate humanity. I NEED to punch him to death.

Zapped the hard working batarian.

Shot Conrad.

Interrupted a krogan's monologue by setting him on fire.

You're working to hard

*Stabs in the back*

That is one of my favorites because it was the first renegade inter-up I came across on my first play through. I certainly took me by surprise.

I  think I  did all the ones the OP  mentioned with my Paragon SHep's, this one and the ones involving that merc who shot the volus on Illium.

I played bad cop during Thane's loyalty mission and yelled at Grunt to leave Garrus alone. Only two instances of renegadeness that my otherwise paragon of virtue Shepard engaged in. Garrus thing was obvious enough, Garrus is her old friend and a Grunt is a confused krogan who just told her that he hates Turians. The Thane loyalty mission thing... I always wanted to play the bad cop ^.^

O yeah, I also did the Liara mission and those did get my renegade points. But my only choices were do them or leave them. But I didn't think Paragon Shepard would leave a friend in need.

The "You're working too hard" moment. Also the renegade reaction in Miranda's loyalty mission, preemptive strike man.

"...sometimes I go Renegade."

Just wondering what people's favorite out-of-alignment (but not necessarily out-of-character) moments are. I usually play a straight down the line Paragon (what can I say? I like to help people), but sometimes I just have to...

* Compare "weapons" with a certain Batarian who mistakes me for a stripper.

* Head-butt a Krogan

* Set a long-winded krogran on fire when he talks about eating Salarian babies

What about you?

I actually found the long winded krogan's mologue quite entertaining.

And I know people have tried to explain it to me before, but I STILL don't get how shooting a MECH in the head during an interrupt gets you Renegade points, but shooting him in the head five seconds later is a-okay.

shoddy attempt at ROE

lame i know

take for example in Star Wars, Mos Eisley - Han Solo vs Greedo

Original version = Han Solo "renegade interrupt" by shooting Greedo in cold blood under the table.

Retcon version = Han Solo "paragon interrupt" by shooting Greedo in "self defense" after being shot at first.

same scene, same outcome, like how in mass effect, the headshot amounts to the same thing with or without the interrupt.

the reason why it changes from renegade to paragon in SW:SE is because the "ROE" (rules of engagement) is changed to a different context (dont fire until fired upon)

same with ME2.

They're mechs, they're designed for combat and they're moving towards you with their weapons drawn with the intent to kill.

Yeah... again, doesn't make sense.

Usually Paragon but...

"Drink it - or I'll blind you; one eye at a time."
"You're Workin' Too Hard" (surprise, surprise? =P)
"What sound will you make when you hit the ground? Think you'll hear it before you die?"
*snaps merc neck on Miranda's mission*
*Ignites long-winded Krogan as he works passed Turians and goes on about screaming Asari*
*KROGAN HEADBUTT!*

That's about it I think. Otherwise, calm/friendly Shepard.

Pretty much Paragon at all times, except for the Council. The first time I heard them go on about my "fragile mental state," I just about lost it, screaming at the TV like a lunatic. In my 8 playthroughs since, I still see red everytime I hit that scene, so I always tell them to kiss my ass.

The only other two renegade things I do are the neck snapping at the beginning of Miranda's mission, and the zap to the back of the batarian while getting Garrus.

Only renegade thing I do is hack the Mechs, which are rather close to the gunship.

... I still get quite a few renegade points for reasons I can't quite fathom, though. (Seeing as I get them anyway, no matter what I say.) (E.G.: Illusive Man convo after the Collector ship, killing the Thresher Maw, handing over the evidence concerning Pitne For's smuggling operations, etc...)

Let's see...

*anyone who is dead set on harming my crew or others (or has already done so) gets taken out through interrupts. Basically the only person pointing a gun at me that I didn't take down hard was the salarian janitor in thane's recruitment quest.

*Anyone who I know is going to be fighting me later will be taken out by any means (sorry batarian mechanic 'slash' infiltrator dude.)

*If someone was trying to maneuver politically against me... well, I prefer if they have a problem they address it with me personally (headbutt!)

*Some of the shadier people in the galaxy you can't be sure of to listen to a nice speech (Helena Blake be damned), I wouldn't shoot them, but they needed to have the fear of a formerly dead spectre put into them.

*I also wanted to shout at the quarian tribunal, but I couldn't due to being too 'nice' so I'll just go on pretending I actually did.

I miss my lvl 60 infiltrator with both charm and intimidate maxed out in ME1, I could handle situations however I wanted...

I preserved the Collector base. At least, that's the option I chose—Tali didn't comment (even though the Illusive Man clearly said 'You're making the right choice,') and the cinematic that followed appeared to be its detonation, so whatever.

I'm not big on destroying things for how they've been used or what means were used to create them. Same reason I preserved Maelon's research and rewrote the Heretics.
