Well I asked Stanly Woo and he told me to pm Evil Chris. 2 pm's and 6 days (total) latter and I still haven't had a reply.

Please bioware I bought jade empire and several nwn addons from your store the only way to get the activation code(it was never stored in profile only in store) and to redownload them is from the store.
Can I have acess to the stuff I baught please

I also wondered how and when they would be migrating all my old games to the new account. Especially the electronic purchases.

This seems to affect more than just buying straight from the Bioware store. Got myself a copy of Jade Empire from Gamestop and didn't realize a download from somewhere else would be affected as well. When I try to run the install file it prompts to download another file. I can only assume the file needed to finish my install comes in some way from Bioware, but not sure. I guess this is a lesson why hard copies are better.

This is why i would much prefer the 'old style' of buying a game, slapping in the cd, installing, entering Key code getting numbers and letters confused and then playing. Especially when my ISP decides "hey we haven't broken his connection if over three days! Quick, break it!"

"Lesson #1: Blessed Silence"

-The Karate Kid movie.

1. NEVER buy anything from the BioWare Store;

2. Never trust BioWare or anyone for that matter. I took part in the discussion, where they promised uninterrupted activation services, prior to become EA. Silence.

Fine. You can have those petty 40 something euros, I payed for the JE:SE game. Have fun.

So another day and still no response. HELLO BIOWARE YOU STOLE MY GAME

So Stanly Woo did respond to say he cant help almost two weeks ago and recommends our stalwart community managers. They certainly stepped up to the plate this is only their job after all.
So who should I Pmail next?

If there is a problem with your servers thats fine just tell us SOMETHING. If you can no longer support your own game thats fine too just transfer it over to my steam account where you are still selling it.

i got horrible support from my questions. 2k games told me it's gamestop's problem. gamestop told me to disable my virus software. no more downloading for me unless it's from the publisher. even then i doubt it.....anyway, i went and bought oblivion on the cheap until i can get my hands on my awakening copy (long story).

in fairness to victor he just came onboard relatively recent. he'd probably have to research what's up with jade empire downloads.

Gamestop cheated you. They sold you the game, which does not work. BioWare did also cheat you, because they removed the support for the game without announcing anything. They still keep silence. But they are perfectly allowed to do so since you bought non-working files at your own will. :(

i run xp. :-) it's just so strange. i download the first file and it prompts for a second file fo installation to continue. you'd think an alternate link could be provided so customers could download. someone must have the file.

i feel cheated more by gamestop than anyone else since they have it downloadable presumably from their site. i was under the assumption i am downloading the game from gamestop. silly me.....it would be nice if bioware could fix it, even if it was via pm linking to a server to get my file. in the end, gamestop needs to know what they're selling. i should get more help than to disable my virus scanner. i've downloaded games from other companies with zero issues. is gamestop seriously telling me that they're so special my computer blocks them and no one else?

gah....wish I had my XP computer. I can't do any experiments and run through scenarios. Hmm I doubt it will have been the same scenario as mine but I'll see if this helps.

1) The problem may come from broken files while downloading into your computer. You will have to delete any installed data and downloaded data you have on Jade Empire. Once cleared of all data, shut down all internet security, firewall, anti spam, real time virus scans any and all (Yes...stupid but unfortunately Trymedias stuff can be stopped by your internet security) Than go ahead to your trymedia account and download the sucker all over again. This worked for my Mass Effect 2 game.

2) Make sure you are downloading off from the Gamestop Digital Store. All links should be provided for you there. But follow step one. The loss of files in download seems to be the main problem with the trymedia people.

Yet another day with no response. I wonder if Bioware have my profile on ignore?

This thread has been on the front page of this forum for quite a while now Ive pmailed what more can one do to get access to what I paid for?

Interesting to wonder if this will happen with the other downloadable content on offer? I note Awakening comes with a warning from EA about deactivating something about it with a months notice (cant check the box Im sat on a plane - oddly enough Assasins creed 2 wont work odd that :roll ).

I wonder how long it will be that the games we used to keep and play for years will come with a one or two year lifespan? EA already do that with multiplayer games, they shut down the server. Now they are requiring online all the time with single player how long will it be before they turn off single player games? They have no incentive to make "no online patch's" after all they have the money and want you to buy new not play old.

Bioware seen to have done it already with Jade Empire SE bought from them, If only I had got it from Steam I wouldn't have to put up with this.

this is what gamestop told me to do and it did not work. i tried again to see if i did it wrong and still nothing. now gamestop doesn't even respond to my questions anymore.

I'm just tryin to envision you being more annoying demi...i just...can't do it.  Though im amazed you gave yourself a whole 5 day break...very surprised.

Anyways, as I'm unsure why the hierarchy isn't replying to your personal messages (it couldnt be due to your amazing vernacular, could it? /sarcasm), I can tell you why you arnt getting any love from this forum.  Simply put, this support forum is mostly monitored by the inhabitants...which includes several helpful people who dont know how to help you and only one Bioware rep (Jedi), whos sole responsibility is the store.  As your Jade Empire troubles don't have anything to do with that store, I doubt he can help you...meaning, i severly doubt this forum can help you with your issues...which, no doubt you have hopefully been able to figure out by now...which begs the question - Why do you keep posting?

In all sincerity, though, good luck elsewhere - or with alerting a different B-rep from elsewhere to this thread.

You have to admit that Demigod has a point. He (or someone else on this thread) already wrote a message to forum staff, but Ch... ahem, Mr. Priestly seems to be busy (with the Bazaar), else he always is, too. Still, as not only digital downloads of JE are affected but also NWN premium modules (online support of them seems to have ended a while ago), I'd say that both are the same/suffer from a similar problem: no further support.

Buying digital stuff is annoying especially when support ends. That is why I prefer hard stuff on a disc. I can only express my sympathy but, sadly, sh*t happens. (I know, stupid phrase.)

Hey Guys - I tend not to comment on posts that are not related to the new store as I don't have a lot to add or help. However, I can completely understand your frustration and I'll see if Chris can let me know where to point you to get some help.

Thanks for the response BioWareStore Jedi Hope Chris can respond every Pmail Ive sent so far has been missed/ignored. Nice to have a response at last.

Dsurian sorry Ive annoyed you posting in the store support forum asking for support about something I bought from the store. Sorry if I sounded frustrated, I am. But how this is the wrong section eludes me, the old site redirects here. If you have any suggestions to help get the game working that would be nice. No need to troll.
