Has anyone else experienced this? It can take several minutes to load a save game or load a new area.

I just timed it and it took over 7 minutes to go from the Brecilian Forest to the Ruins. 7 MINUTES!

WTF

I assume it's a PC version??

But no, I haven't had load times that even approach the time you mentioned.

My load times seem to get longer the longer I play the game. The first 4 or so are almost instantaneous but after a few hours of play its taking several minutes to load.

Hi, I just was complaining about the same thing here

http://social.biowar...58/index/122938

I am guessing right now on the PC version something to do about the save game queue growing very large and some bad code is causing the delay... I could be totally wrong but will get to it soon and give feedback, or you can beat me to the punch :D

Most of my loadings are pretty fast. I have been running the game on 1680x1050 with everything on high.

My specs are:
Windows 7 64bits
Intel Q6600 2.4ghz
RAM 2x2 GB DDR2
nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS, 512mb
HD Samsung Sata 500GB

Time played in-game: 20 hours

As Habnor mentioned, I had longer loadings in the last areas that I played but none of them took too much time.

It can't be a memory leak or it would affect everyone. I've had the game running for well over 24 hours without any slow down.

If you use the zgoogle tool you'll find many pc users are experiencing load times as longs as 7 mins. So far the only commonality appears to be intel/amd quad core procs however it doesn't happen in all cases. I have the same long loading times on my desktop pc which is an intel quad core but not on my intel dual core laptop. I've also experienced several crashes and even a bsod on my desktop, sucks. Bioware has already stated their looking into the issue. Wish the was an offical thread for it.

The load times do indeed grow longer the longer I play.

My load times seem to get longer the longer I play. Longest load time was probably in the 30 to 60 second range.

i7 920, 6GB ram, Vista 64-bit.

I have to confirm this, the longer you play the longer it takes to load the areas. So what I did was saved the progress then quit, launch the game again and its fine again. The longest time I played was 4 hours nonstop but I noticed a lag on the dialogue and the areas generally.

I'm posting here to keep this toward the top, as it is the only issue I have with this awesome game. I don't mind the tough start (with no healer), but having to wait longer and longer between loading screens is very frustrating.

Keep up the great work, Bioware.

Same here, the more areas I visit the longer the load times get. Even if I just go back and forth.

Vista 64 SP2.
AMD X2 6000+
GeForce 9600GT 1GB.

I also have the same problem. Initially fast load times that progressivly increase. I didn't actually time it out, but the longest gave me time to go brush my teeth only to have it still loading when I returned. Restarting the game has helped every time I encounter it. My specs:

AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4600 (2.41 GHz)

2G Ram

WIndows XP (Home ED, 2002 version) SP3

NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS

AMD Phenom people could try the TLB disabler and see if that fixes the issue. Don't worry, it's not permanent.

(but you do so at your own risk. backup your saves first!)

Seems to be related to somewhere in Ozrimmar beginning... maybe a certain zone starts off the problem, since i have passed it, i restarted game all is fine and not getting any slower as I progress..

yep, same here. the load times are very quick to begin with, but the longer i play the longer it takes to load another area. if i restart my computer it clears up, but the another hour or two of play and its back like it was.
