You know, this thread can die a natural death if you could just wait for the patch to resolve this issue. Its pointless to put up and fill up threads like these.
Yes the game's performance deteriorates overtime but it can be resolved by quitting and taking a bathroom break once in a while. Do not insist that your rigs are monstrous i7s or phenom II quads that can take on any games well except DAO at this point.

I've let the game run for well over 4 hours now. Turning off Persistent Gore has kept the load times below one minute for me.
I read that the game remembers the Gore and "stores" it. But it never clears out the gore until the game is restarted. That's why (particularly in battle) the speed slows down so much.
It may not be the only thing that is causing the memory leak - but it's a big part.
This also explains why Orzammar is so slow - you can barely walk 2 feet without getting in a fight.
