My game crashes while trying to drag and drop my powers to the top left HUD. Not only that but if I'm trying to put shepard's powers on the HUD, the game selects one of the NPC's powers which is quite frustating.
I've already applied Mass Effect 2 1.01 patch.
System specs :
Windows 7
Core 2 duo 2.2 Ghz
4GB Ram
Nvidia 9600GT
Is there any way to cure this?

I've had both of these problems intermittently (not consistently though; are you saying you've never been able to get it to work properly?). Others have reported it as well. Hopefully it will get patched.
Don't know of any way to cure it. It does seem like it's a bit more stable if you assign powers outside of combat, but that's not a guarantee. Really, the main benefit of making sure to do it outside of combat is that you can quicksave first so you don't lose progress if it crashes.

Guys. Everybody has this problem. It's a glitch. Hopefully being worked on among other glitches.
