I'm fairly sure that I completed his little chain in ME1 and used the Charm option, but I can't find him anywhere on Illium. I've looked around a lot and watched some YouTube videos to try and find him, but he never shows up for me.

Anyone know if this is a glitch or if I have done something wrong? That discount at the weapons shop could definitely come in handy...

Thanks in advance for any help.

I charmed him in ME1, and in ME2 he claims that I "pointed a gun in his face" - this is a well-known glitch.

I can't think of why he wouldn't have shown up in your game other than that you may not have completed all 3 side missions with Verner. He is always at the same place on Illium by the way, harassing the bartender in Eternity.

There are a few assignments that activate around that area, only one at a time - you could try the Slave Trader assignment first and see if that activates Verner. But, I think his assignment will be initiated first if it is working properly.

I'm almost sure I finished his quest chain. I charmed him into returning home to his family, I think...

Maybe I missed him on my ME1 Insanity playthrough or something. If so, oh well. It sucks but I'll live. Thanks.

If you charm him to return to his family, he starts some charity or training organization.  I didn't have him in my game either, and heard somewhere that is what happens.  I think it was an in-game e-mail or something.

Hmm I don't think I got that e-mail... either I screwed up or my game is bugging up on me.

Is it possible that you are misremembering how you resolved his questline in ME1? I know there is one way to resolve it that results in a report of his death being played on ENN (the Elevator News Network), in which case he won't show up in ME2 because he is dead.

I know I didn't kill him. My characters are always golden boys who take the high road so I'm about 99% sure I charmed him.

Wait, so if you actually do point your gun at his face in ME1 he gets killed, despite how he says you did just that in ME2?

Actually, if you rushed because it was your second or third playthrough on the same character like I did, that is highly probable. I ended up missing a few assignments on a few of mine and I didn't know why at first.

Yeah, it was my 3rd playthrough with y Vanguard (on Insanity this time) because I wanted to hit level 60 to have the strongest character possible for ME2. I may have forgotten to wrap on Conrad Verner's mission before I hit up Ilos.
