So looking to the future, I guess that me3 will probably use the good ol' modular story structure that has been a part of so many bioware games and been done so well (i.e. some set pieces that happen no matter what like the intro and ending, but you can choose the order that you do the recruiting missions in me2 or which worlds you travel to first in me1, or whose support you get when from the various races in DA:O).

That got me thinking about what's in store then if me3 uses that sort of structure. I like the idea of helping the various races (turian, asari etc. (volus!)) from dealing with their reapers (and then getting their support for the epic final battle). So the structure of each individual mission could be kind of like feros (as opposed to the me1 liara mission that me2 seemed to use as a template): intrigue, reaper proxies to deal with, then facing a boss.

At the end, depending on who's still alive from me2 you could then use your squadmates to lead battalions of the various classes they represent that are prominent in each race. Possibly having the player (that's us!) changing perspective (so we can experience the other classes working together to finally defeat the reaper, and plus there's now a precedent for a change of perspective in the me universe!
