What if Bioware still let you transfer all your decisions, your legacy from me1 and 2 into 3, but not your actual character? What if you import a dead shepard file, but you are prompted to create a new alliance soldier that is given a different last name with a different voice acting duo from regular shepard? Hell that would allow them to create a wicked sweet statue memorial of your shepard on the citadel. It might also be an interesting way to bring in new me3 players without having to fill them in on so much of the history for a fresh file, since you'd be playing a new character in the wake of a previous one. Or hell, shepard's mom was in me1, what if it was say...a brother/sister? That way they could get away with having the same last name and even throw in some lines about "You're just like him/her" and "What's up with your crazy bloodline i mean seriously this is just nuts"
Plus it'd give people a reason to allow shepard to die in me2 when doing a full trilogy playthrough.
or maybe they're already PLANNING something like this holy ****.
