No idea about the console...?

Are you able to do locations in any desired order i.e. can get Howe early or late, Justice early or late...

Has your "race" had much effect on dialogue? How do you rate meeting old allies i.e. is it a tiny few dialogue meeting or bigger presence?

you get 3 at the start and need to get the other each at a seperate of the games 3 main locations

origin or decisions in origin have no impact as far as i recognised

oh and before you ask - there is NO save after finsihing the game which obvioulsy means no other expansion or dlc?!

I heard the blood abilities you get from WK are available but are bugged. Can you confirm whether they work or not please?

What does that mean?
Is the last save before the final boss fight (I assume that there is one)?

Lame

Double lame.

Man, this is rather disappointing considering you had the most positive towards the expansion, out of the people that have gotten it early that is.

The absence of a post-campaign save is rather puzzling, true, but I seem to remember that Fernando Melo, in his interview if GW.com, said that DLCs were planned even for Awakening, and that we will understand the 'how' when they reveal the new content.

I may have to listen at the interview again.

But that doesn't mean we can't use our DAO saves for further DLC/expansions, right?

Unless you know something we don't... for example, something big happens in Awakening and leaves behind a cliffhanger?

I think it's very unfair for people to expect every decision on origins to carry over think about it does it matter u have a good expansion with something new to do instead of gold glitching and chest xping it would have been insanely hard to transfer all decisions it's a great game so stop poking holes in it

first of all the value questions that is often asked - it is worth 50 bucks (or how much you are paying) - i needed around 33h to finish - but i really spent a lot of time looking at things or creating runes and being to dum to solve riddles... if you play fast and don't waste too much time with the sidequests, youre gonna be through in less then 10 hours i guess (but who would want that). just for comparsion - my first playtrhough in dragon age with the same attitude was 90 hours, the second one was 30 hours...

Now I feel relieved, it took me 100 hours to get through origins so I'll getting some playing again with Awakening.
Thanks for the great no-spoiler review.

Well, it *is* an expansion - not a sequel. I know the devs did say when DAO was first released that a "DAO 2" (or whatever they are going to name it) was already being developed. I'm willing to wait and see what happens.

Thanks for the review - gave enough info with no spoilers - :-)

Only 15 - 33 hours of gameplay compared to 48 - 100 of the original this alone makes me not want to buy this expansion. I have not completed the dao (game crashes constantly on me) so i dont yet care so much about the romances and companions.

Looks like a rip off if you ask me ill rather wait for gamespot or ign to review the expansion before i jump the gun and buy this.

Thanks for the review! It comes out 3/16 here in the states so I am on pins and needles to get it. Being as it is an expansion pack and not a whole other "Full game" like DAO does not deter me in the least. As long as I can can kill things with my posse around and have a good time doing well that fine by me. I look forward to meeting this architect and seeing what that is about. :o)
