Just cleared the derelict reaper on my insanity run.

I am a little frazzled. I've never done so much running away.

Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin.:crying:

Thank you Adrenaline Rush. Thank you Revenant. Thank you Arc Projector.

I didnt have the luxury of HAR or a Revenant or an Acr Projector.

It was me, my tempest w/ warp, incinerate and a whole lot of cloaking..

Honestly, I am looking forward to the end of this insanity playthrough. Once and once only. It hasn't been as frustrating as I thought it might be and the end is in sight. I doff my cap  to all those who can do it with any class besides soldier.

It certainly gets the blood pumping.

Haven't been this fired up in a game since Forza.

How many of the loyalty quests did you do? I'm thinking I'll do it with a soldier and just try to do as little as possible, but I'd miss out on a lot of upgrades that way...

I found soldier one of the harder play throughs on insanity even though I think all insanity runs are easy I would probably rank the scale as such
Easiest
1- Sentinel
2- Infiltrator
3- Vanguard
4- Soldier
5- Adept
6- Engineer
The main thing is just getting used to it.  Know missions enimes and bring squad mates that deal with it good idea to bring miranda for her overload to take out merc shields.  If your going to do mordins mission lots of vorcha and krogan so armor + HP meaning warp/reave are strong here.  Collector missions Armor/barriers meaing warp/reave is also good here.  Key bind your allies abilites and spam em every cooldown use em alot.  I think this is one of the best ways to make the game easy.  Once you master the use of your allies skills you will find insanity alot easier.

I have done all the loyalty quests plus the side quests that give upgrades for damage protection and the like.

I have no issue with using squaddies and their powers, but I am on the xbox - not as fluid in terms of key binds and monitoring cool downs go. I know what powers do what to what - I can read. I have only died a few times since Horizon, mainly from over confidence - Playing like I had Colussus X and immunity.

I just don't find insanity enjoyable. I just want the achievement.

Bah, Soldier with maxed out adrenaline rush and revenant made this level fairly easy. As a matter of fact, insanity is easy as hell with soldier. (for me) Revenant with inferno ammo just makes this Waaaaay too easy. Just adrenaline rush it and bangbangbang 3 motherloving husks dead in one clip of revenant.

While right now I am struggling with my sentinel.

Don't think of it as running away, think of it as strategic retreat

On my insanity run I basically ran backward while shooting husk legs, 100% success

After a great deal more running away, some good fortune, and a few
jumbo size dollops of medigel, my insanity play-through is complete.
Achievement unlocked. No more insanity for me until ME3.

Some may consider the soldier easy on insanity. But, for an almost 40 year old who didn't get a console until his early thirties, I am mighty chuffed. Don't have the natural affinity for games that those who grew up with them have.

Did a lot of that as well.

Never been so close to a Scion and not been forced to reload.

Next play through - Vanguard on veteran, maybe normal. Still need the Paramour and the Brawler thingy.
