I know you can upgrade some items by selling them to Levi but does anyone know what level a pc has to be so that Cailan's armor is tier 7 when you find it? I ended up with a mix of tier 5 and tier 6 last time as my pc happened to go up a level in between, which piqued my curiosity.

I think theres a prob with the stuff you get in rto I went there at lvl 20 and everything was only tier 5 just upgrade the stuff via merchants or storage chest

Hmm, it's usually been all tier 5 for me but this time I did RtO a bit later and one piece was tier 6. But I was still only about level 12 at the time. Maybe it was just a hiccup.

if your talking about the RTO armor it is a red steel mostly i have never got any of the other tiers with it. But Wiki says Varies (Tier 5-7). so the armor upgrade trick may not work on it .

It was weird for me- I went there around level 16-17 and the armor was all different tiers. Chest was red steel, boots were dragonbone, helm and gloves were silverite. The shield was silverite, but Maric's sword was red steel. Duncan's sword was red steel, but the dagger was dragonbone. All basic armor (chainmail, spint, ect) I was finding there was dragonbone. Not sure if class matters. I was a DW warrior.

i was lvl 25 when i did RTO all mine was red steel for the armour shield and sword. Duncons dadder and sword where dragon bone

So it seems like the inital tier for each piece is random - most likely red steel with some chance of better.
