Just wanted to know, whatt would happen if i went to Denerim first.. would this speed up the story in anyway? has anyone tryed this? random question i know..

Just wanted to ask because at the moment I'am a human noble, warrior ( male, sword and shield) and ive stayed away from denerim as much as i can by going to the circle of magi first, then to the dalish, then the soliders peek, then back to ostagar, then to collect shale, then to kill flemeth and now iam at Orzammar..

Doesn't matter. I usually go there straight out of Lothering to pick up the Ashes quest.

My city elves always go to Denerim straight away.



If you don't mind metagaming going there can help your character. If you are a completionist you avoid a lot of backtracking by snagging the side quests first in Denerim and then doing the main quests. The gang quests are a good chance to work on fights with your new companions. Slim Couldry can yield a nice bit of coin early, when coin is lacking.

I like Denerim as well early on for brief stop mainly for the Archivist's Sash in the Wonder's of Thedas. Just remember to put it on before clicking any books, etc.
