We know Awakening contains 24 new spells, 8 of which are reserved for the battlemage and keeper specializations. However, there are 16 more spells, presumably split into 4 spell chains/rows.

Could anyone that has played Awakening shed some light on these 16 remaining spells? Even a general description of the spell chains they belong to would be nice. :)

edit: It seems there are only 8 spells aside from the 8 specialization spells.

The total number of new spells is 16, not 24.

There are new spells/abilities for every class and every weapon specialization. One of my personal favorites is Unending Flurry for Dual Wielding characters; you basically point at a very unlucky enemy, scream "YOU!" and stab them repeatedly until they die or you run out of stamina.

How many new mage spells will there be?
There
are 2 new specializations and 2 new spell trees for all mages for a
total of 16 new spells. We will update the FAQ to correct this
information.

No, there are only 16 spells according to what that says.
Bioware really ripped us off in this "Expansion".
I'm done- not buying.

Oh please.

Is there some sort of magic number of new spells an expansion has to give in order to qualify as 'value'?

Give it a rest, man. It's one thing complaining about stuff like DLC incompatibility and whatnot, but p****ng and moaning about stuff like this just comes across as a call for the waaaambulance.

Whoa calm down, man. It's not like you were the boss, CEO, queen if you feel dramatic.

I'm guessing the new spells go under the Mage header next to the Arcane Bolt series.

I completely agree, 16 new spells for mages alone is a lot, especially since mages have tons of spells as it is. Plus, all these spells are ridiculously useful so I'm pretty sure people won't be complaining once they have them.

The mage skills arent the only thing added Worksa8. We also get 6 specs and new abilities for the other classes. The 6 specs plus the new 16 spells 40 new abilities then add on the new weapon talents and it say it gets up to atleast 60 or more new.

I am sorry but I don't know. However, people who already received the expansion have confirmed that there are 8 spells for the mage class, 4 spells for the battlemage specialization, and 4 spells for the keeper specialization.

16 is not enough, it just isn't. I'm not even being greedy, I just think if we are paying for almost as much as a full game, can we at least have ALMOST HALF of a full game in content? So far it seems like they cut/cheaped out on everything, and ignored what people wanted most.
