why try to put realistic points into something that is technicaly not realistic in the first place.
"Realistic" and "unimmersive" are two different matters. Some unrealistic things are more belieavable than others.
Also, why put several posts in a row? Haven't you heard of the Edit-function?

Just an opinion. High heels for female companions is a no go, its unrealistic wearing them during combat. Sure it's sci-fi/fantasy but this really gets to me. In ME1, your team feels like soldiers. In ME2, errr... odd.
Am I the only one?
No, no you are not. I hated it...hated it! Samara wore heels, Miranda wore heels. Damn them, damn them! At least Morinth, Tali and FemShep (thank God) didn't.
I mean, I could barely handle Seven of Nine wearing heels...just to...throw a really dorky reference out there...

So to me, I don't see it as a big deal. Plus I don't focus on what people are wearing while shooting people, I'm focusing on more pressing matters.

Ummm, I don't want to make this seem like a joke cause I'm being serious, but I assume none of you arguing against the believability of heels in combat situations have seen a prostitute running down the street away from her pimp or a cop. Yes, it's hilarious to see, but you'll never see a person run faster than a woman in hooker pumps.

Imagine how much faster she'd be if she wasn't wearing those stupid heels. But thanks for the image; it made me laugh even if you were being serious.

I just don't get why it has to unrealistic to be sexy. Mass Effect had tasteful, sexy scenes without the females running around in completely un-combat-efficient outfits. The change really wasn't needed...if they wanted Miranda to have huge boobs and a shapely butt, they could have simply molded her armor mesh to show it. They didn't need to put her arse in high-heels.
Exactly. Women like Miranda and Samara are going to look great no matter what they wear. There was no reason to do what they did.
Oh well.

I personally don't like it. It kind of takes the toughness out of the character for me. I am extremely attracted to strong women (as my wife can attest to lol). To me, there's nothing sexier than a tough girl who is still feminine. Anybody who watches NCIS will know exactly what I'm talking about (Ziva).
I don't like writers trying to create a tough woman but then saying, "Hey, look at the heels! She's still sexy!" Miranda's physical appearance and personality would of been attractive even in military fatigues.
