That's from the FAQ--so most everything from DA:O except for the DLC/promotional.  Some custom stuff might not work either.

Have you any idea what defines whether 'custom stuff' works or not? I have a modded helmet I'd like to port over...

Where did you find the information about the Return to Ostagar DLC working?  ^^

And I'm sure that some will work and some won't.  But I have a feeling most will work, since they're made using the Bioware-made toolset.

I'm very excited. I played through Origins again (finished up this morning) and deiced to play through Journey's. And seeing the trailer for Nathaniel Howe just made the wait even worse. OCD can be very annoying sometimes, but anyways... Can't wait!

WalMart might have it at midnight, might want to call first though.

How are you going to spend the last 24h? Will you be at work or at home?

Not for us Direct to Drive Canadian customers...the release date was changed from the 16th to the 18th...

So somehow we ended up with the European release date, while the Europeans got theirs about 4 days ago.

Go figure.

Nope.  The DLC items will not work.
Victor Watcher confirmed that Return to Ostagar DLC will work, however no items from the Stone Prisoner, the Warden's Keep, or any of the collector's editions or other promo items will import.

They will be uncerimoniously taken from your character.  If you didn't pre-order or pay extra money for the collector's edition or for Watcher's keep you will get to keep all of your items. If you gave BioWare extra money for bonus gear you will have those items taken away from you.

I am so not bitter ...

That's not how it works. Midnight Launches mean you go into the store.
