Just out of curiosity, has there been any news on more DLC? I'm sure there is some in the works as they've said they plan for 2 years of DLC (though I suppose Mass Effect had 2 years of DLC which equated to one per year). I'm not sure if characters are still playable after the game has been completed but if not I may consider holding off on completing it if there's some more DLC coming out relatively soon.

Ferelden is actually only a very small part of the entire world created for Dragon Age. I imagine there is plenty of stuff on the horizon for DLC and expansions. The only question is if they keep adding to this game or wait until Dragon Age 2.

We'll see how it's priced for content. If they continue to charge $7 for a single quest with buffs then I don't see how DLC will thrive. Oblivion's horse armor wasn't exactly a great success.

Agreed. Dragon Age is one of the few games that I'm ready and willing to buy DLC for, but the value for your dollar has to be better with future DLC. Paying $7 for an hour or so of content makes one feel a bit ripped-off. Sure, $7 isn't all that much on it's own, but it definitely will add up as new DLC continually rolls out over the next couple years.

I really love Dragon Age and the fact that we're finally getting a legitimate successor to Baldur's Gate- thus I really want to continue playing and supporting it. But cut us some slack here.

I would prefer expansion DLC (like what GTAIV has been doing) as opposed to more Warden's Keep type DLC.

Yeah, I was a little iffy about the Warden's Keep. I bought it anyway, of course. I wouldn't say it wasn't worth it, there were some really nice things, the warden's armor in particular--and the storage to a lesser extent. But it felt more like it should have been $5 and not $7.

Thank you for the feedback. Your comments is what helps us be better and improve for future DLC. My hope is that you enjoy Warden's Keep, and that you will enjoy the next one even more.

The problem I have so far is the dlc, and I hope Bioware takes this game seriously, and release good dlc like Bethesda does in the future. I bought the warden tower dlc and I'm very disappointed is anyone else? I paid like $7 for very very little content. Given the size and scope of the 60 dollar retail disk I excepted more content for something I pay 1/9 the original price for. This is very much the equal to Oblivion horse armor I just want them to release good dlc, not the crap they released for Mass effect after hyping dlc up for it before release. It's a good marketing technic but bad for those of us the get ripped off for little content. Also can anyone tell me why the stone prisoner is 1200 points? That's like 15 dollars and I only know of the quest to get him, and his plot quest. Is there really 1/4 of the retail disk content in that 15 dollar dlc. I mean I got it for free like most people, but that's pretty much extortion to encourage sales at launch. Anyways I hope people don't take this out of context and think I'm slamming this game, I just hope people make bioware aware that we want premium content that's justifies the price by game play. Bioware please do better then the crap you released for Mass Effect, is anyone with me on that?

They should do it like the better Fallout 3 content, $9.99 for 6-8 hours of play of a quest line. That's what I would expect.

I really liked Warden's Keep. It just wasn't long enough to justify the $7 price.

I'd prefer the mini-expansion type of DLC myself, I really like what Ironclad/Stardock did with Sins of a Solar Empire. Mini expansions for 10-15 bucks. New abilities, maybe a new race, new story arc with a few locations. Honestly I think I might just prefer DLC that only provides new abilities/classes/races over any story/dungeon addition. I found the Fallout3 ones to be pretty weak and out of place in the world/game.

Warden's Keep was a nice idea and I liked it, but it did feel a little too small for the price. If it had more interaction beyond the initial 'clear the keep' I'd be happier with it. As many people have said, they'd like it better if you could actually go into the keep and use it as a base, with your NPC's standing around in various places with interactions related to the place.

That said, I'm definitely looking forward to more DLC and hoping that it comes out more robust than Warden's Keep. I'd also really love to buy another DLC that expands further on Warden's Keep, making it into a full base and having more interaction with Avernus, and integrating the place more into the main plot, like Shale is more closely integrated with things all over Ferelden. I'd love to see you be able to recruit and conscript new Grey Wardens to the peak, and perhaps help Avernus with his research if you choose to go that route.

I would expect it just around Christmas...... a good time for playing more I should say.

I think some DLC will involve other characters. Notice how everyone of your followers is grouped towards the middle and the right, leaving the left part open? They could fit 2-3 new party members in there. My guess would be an elven mage, a dwarven rogue and some strange member like Sten, Dog or Shale.

I heard that Warden's Keep was so short? Is it true? And that the fortress was actually useless...

Warden's Keep was fairly enjoyable, but I don't think it was worth 7 bucks. Content-wise, it was good quality, but far too short. As for the stone prisoner, I got the freebie card in my gamebox. I really don't see how anyone could justify it for the hefty pricetag of 14 bucks though. It was a fun little quest, and the once again the quality is there, but way too short.

For fallout 3, the first DLC for 9.99 was fairly crappy. But, Bethesda listened to a lot of the player feedback and the DLC got better with each release up until point lookout. Here's hoping Bioware do something similar.

I agree with (most) everyone that Warden's Keep was fine in terms of quality but a little low on quantity. I was initially a little disappointed with The Stone Prisoner because it, too, was kind of short in terms of actual adventuring time. The key difference, of course, is that with Stone Prisoner you're really paying for the Prisoner himself -- Shale -- a whole other fully voice-acted party member with his own eventual personal quest. 15 for a brief additional adventure and a character with his own added storyline seems reasonable to me.

That said, I would love to see future DLC be more along the lines of Durlag's Tower from TOSC -- a cool new place that, while not essential to the plot, has its own secrets to uncover and quests to undertake. Give us a ruined castle or a tomb or some long-forgotten catacombs, rich with treasures, menacing creatures, and perhaps a compelling NPC or two, and I'll be a very happy camper.

I got the stone prisoner for free. After playing it I find it very expensive at the current selling price.

I didn't purchase Warden's Keep, and I will not purchase any DLC with a price per content higher than the "traditional" expansions.

I think what you heard is moslty accurate.

At least for $7.

It's pretty quick to go through the keep itself, and once you are done and go outside (and zone to another area in the world), you can't go back in.  Not quite the new base of operations the DLC is described as containing.  Adds a couple merchants later that have a couple nice items, and the armor from inside is good, but you can do that with the toolset.

I would struggle to say it's worth $5, honestly.  It's so short that it's really not needed.
