IW is ****ing over PC gamers. We are getting a console port it seems. What the heck IW...what the heck. Check out this link this is for real.

Also...Someone posted this one the MW2 board:

• IW has control of the game

• IWnet servers will host multiplayer

• DLC will be a charged item for PC

• No dedicated servers

• Matchmaking system used to play with similarly ranked players

• VAC instead of PB

• Semi-capable password servers

• Semi-capable ad-hoc servers

• Competitive play is dead

• MW2 mods would not be possible

• Full integration into Steam

I can't belive they are doing this. Well I mean they can, they obviously don't care and will just sit back and enjoy their money...but this is stupid what they are doing.

"One sniper to another, mate, GIVE UP."

No, it doesn't have anything to do with the thread at all. I just love that quote.

A lot of PC gamers are mad about this. It is an important issue I think. In regards to PC gaming in general.

I'm very glad that I did not preorder the game. Now since the multiplayer looks crap, I'm just going to wait for a review on the single player and then decide whether to get it, get it off a friend, or not at all.

I am going to diff MW servers and telling people say goodbye to dedicated servers, mods, and other things...and say hello to $60 price tag!

Napoleon, I absolutely agree. One of my buddies I play shooters games with informed me about this, I actually laughed. Don't take that the wrong way, I am a PC gamer, and I love the CoD series. MW2 was looking pretty good, but the lack of dedicated servers basically means that every private match we host is a listen server. I don't think I need to elaborate on that... the percentage of people who own a PC with the hardware and connection is small.

The only thing good I can think about this, is that IW is trying to make a radical decision concerning PC games. For what reason, I have some ideas (no proof though). I mean, this decision could pay off, if it didn't seem like a half-assed console port.

At this point, l4d2 is looking a lot better, previously I wasn't going to touch the game, but now it's looking better.

Edit: I'm listening to Bash and Slash discussing MW2 as I type.

Infinity Ward will block out the noise of dissent.... with their wads of cash.

Here's some perspective for you GhoXen: CoD4's multiplayer, although it was good, was only 10 hours long. On the other hand, DA:O has a singleplayer length of around 100 hours. 10 hours is not worth 50 to 60 dollars imo.

To infinity ward as Rush Limabaugh would say it, "I hope they fail' in screwing over PC gamers.

When I'm upset about a game, I don't buy it. The most important thing to a business is its money.

As I said before, they will just block it out with wads of cash. MW 2 will likely sell more than 10 million copies on the console alone. but yes, stop buying the game if you feel you have been hard done by.

I agree, the surprising thing is that there is literally a war going on between console vs PC gamers on the IW forums (not the surprising part). It's taking place in that huge threat I was talking about, about people were actually commenting that PC gamers should just shut up and be happy that IW is actually making a game. I was thinking to myself that I should give these people a quick lecture on consumerism since they fail to remember our economy is run by consumers.

IF will still sell like mad, they won't care probablly if there are people who don't buy it. I'd assume. Someone like me though doesn't like what they are doing to the PC version..but ill still get it.

Check out IW forum. There seems to be thread after thread of people talking about how mad they are despite the warnings of bans and such. Ban someone and others will take their place I suppose.

Check this out

Are you referring to the posters or the company ?

The idea of IW.Net. The idea of everyone getting an equal game (consoles and pcs). The idea that IW hosts all the servers, except the listen servers. The idea that we can only be as creative as they allow us through customizing our listen servers.

This might be an odd sense of communism, but it was mainly their action of stifling creativity that comes with modding and map making.

Like I said though I don't know for sure if people will have the ability to mod or not as they might have it in the IWNET thing or whatever...but the no dedicated servers is the main thing.
