Hi,
I've bought Mass Effect 2 and played it 1 hour but then there came the Windows Message Mass Effect 2 doesnt work.
Than i thought okay... i would play at first Mass Effect because i want to know the story... i bought it but i cant play. After 30-60 min came this message http://www.bilder-ho...e6tq-2-png.html
or my favourite message : Mass Effect doesn work.
Can you help me?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 2x3,3 Ghz
4 GB DDR2 RAM
Zotac Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT 1 Gb Ram

Looks like a memory problem. Did you restart the machine?

EDIT: It could also be accessing protected memory. Are you running as an Administrator account?

i can play all games without problems only mass effect not
i had problems with dragon age, too there was the error message: Dragon Age doesnt work, too
I run Mass Effect in Windows XP Service Pack 2 Mode as an Admin.

Hmmph!  Right.  Didin't read far enough. "This is the Mass Effect 1 Tech Discussion, not ME-2." isn't an applicable comment, after all.

Gorath, read closer, He tried Me2, it died, so he tried ME1, and it also dies. He needs help fixing ME1.

Can you tell what other specific games you have been able to run on the computer now, as in not before ME wouldn't work?

I had this problem with ME1, in my case it was caused by a conflict between the game and the AMD dual-core drivers I had installed. If you've got the latest drivers already, I suggest taking a look at the old tech support forum, here. This was a common bug in ME1, and there was a lot of discussion on it.

Bah, I've just started experienceing this. I had no issues with my first complete Paragon and half my Renegade playthrough. Now it freezes and hangs and bombs out all the time I'm trying to finish my Renegade playthrough to take into ME2.
