Shep needs to have...

Assault Rifle Training (Opening Geth Trooper scene/Eden Prime/ME1, Omega, Crashing Ship Mission, Reaper IFF mission, Final Mission.)

Shotgun Training (Wrex Virmire confrontation, Jahleed's Partner confrontation, Hades Nexus Mission [ME2])

Pistol Training (...)

SMG Training (Note: Excludes Soldier as pure canon!)

Biotic Capabilities (Kaiden's comment on your L3 implants spiking as high as his L2 (ME1))

Omni Tool (Even soldiers in ME1 use it for medi-gel and immunity; no tech experience required then)

Thus the only Shep Variant that can exist within all cutscenes in either game is...

A Vanguard with an Assault Rifle Perk/Collector Ship Training.

I am dissapoint.

I think he only mentions Shep's l3 if Shep is a biotic. I usually play Infiltrator and he just says L3 Implants without the "Your"

Invader is right,if you're not biotic any way, kaidan will not mention your abilites.

Note: Kaiden mentions "Shepards" L3 implants because with the perks, technically every class is a biotic.

Um, no, he's not. Just did an infiltrator playthrough... got the dialogue...

Did your Infiltrator have a biotic ability?

As in did you pick one for your carry over skill? If so then you are technically a biotic.

Otherwise he wont say squat about L3s you dont have.

I hate how assault rifles and other weapons are slapped onto Shepard and other characters during the cutscenes.

I wish it'd pick up on what ARs you have available.

Well I want to know what happen to...

"If you can aim it you can shoot it" I recall a Dev saying that about the "weapons" in ME2.

Funny thing is they randomly do, if Shep has a different rifle equipped like the Revenant it'll show in all but one cutscene, some cutscenes show your companion's rifles too like the one with the crew in the pods (which is funny if they have a Collector rifle and use it to smash open the pods, those things look like soft meat and wouldn't be able to break a tub of butter).
The scenes where everyone is using Avengers is just lazy.

I think "canon" Shepard is a biotic, and has an implant, no matter what class you choose, since in both games you have access to some biotic abilities.

*sigh* not true!

His carry over was AR anyways.
