Self explanatory subject.  I've read the wiki page on the endings etc but I can't see where this might be possible.  My 3rd playthrough and I've got with Leliana and Morrigan but could never bring myself to go after Anora knowing my home skillet might get the crappy drunkard ending or whatever.

Anybody done this without screwing Alistair?

yes you have to duel Loghain and then get Alistair to kill him. This way YOU didn't kill him and Anora will be more than happy to marry you. If you have Alistair duel him I think he seizes the throne right after but I could be wrong on that score cause my one HNM playthrough I dueled him offed Loghain and put Alistair plus Anora on the throne.

Everyone is happy, Anora keeps her throne and Alistair gets satisfaction for Loghain's treachery.

If you let Alistair duel Logahin he will kill him no matter what, but he will only take the throne if he is hardened, so if you want to marry Anora you have to keep Alistair soft and have him duel Loghain.

Is there an ending where Alistair is not king, but not a drunk? I read he can choose to hang around with you but is that ending compatible with me on the throne trying so get jiggity with Anora?

Alistair only ends up a drunk if you spare loghain and didnt marry him off to anora

So if I let him jack Loghain (with menoxadil) and I marry Anora and her awesome almost Leia buns, does he leave or does he stick around?

he only ever leaves the party if you recruit Loghain so yes you can do that and still keep him

Ok so as I'm reading it, if he's not hardened, which he's not at present and it's past that point anyway, and I let him smoke my future never to be in-law, and marry Leianorra, then Alistair doen't get a jacked up ending.



Anybody know what ending(s) he gets at that point?
