My question is simply this, what is the explanation given for changing your class when you transfer your file from ME1 to ME2? Stemming out from this is the bit of advice I need, I played as a soldier in ME1 after my saves got deleted and didn't want to do the entire game as the same class I always was. I liked this a little bit, but soldier combat is to shooter-y and boring for me, as I am an RPG nut( I have no idea how this applys to anything but felt the need to say it). I wish to change to an infiltrator (more RPG-ish to me) and want to know the answer to the question above, and the bit of advice I want to acquire is whether it is worth changing to an infiltrator because I want to, and whether the explanation is plausible. I want to 'feel' like I'm the same shepard, but just want to change my class.

After I get a few replies I will elaborate on this question if I didn't make it clear enough (Typed as I thought it out)

P.S. I really need help with this seemingly simple and easy to solve question, help me Image IPB

Cerberus shoves a couple of upgrades in there, so they could modify your class. Doesn't really fit in with TIM's wishes on the project, but...

So you see nothing wrong with changing my class if I want to (I know it seems silly but I keep debating this with myself). Also, do they ever directly mention your class change? Or could I get by with saying I was always an infiltrator or that I simply changed my specilization during the time between ME1 and ME2?

No one ever notices anything different. You might as well go for it, it won't really make sense but you can think up an explanation fairly easily.

If you want to be an infiltrator then do it. No ones says anything about it. It's like you always were whatever you decide to pick.

Thank you, I dreaded having to redo ME1 all the way as an infiltrator. (1st playthrough just to get to 50, then 2nd to get to 60 and do EVERY SINGLE side quest/planet exploring thing.)

That's my logic.
