I’ve finally started to play ME2.  I’m not enjoying it (having trouble getting used to the controls).    ).    Shepherd starts out moving at a good pace and then she/he slows way down after playing for maybe 5 minutes.  I have installed the patch thinking this might fix it, but it’s still a snail’s pace.
 
I am playing ME2 on a PC (not the same machine I have Dragon Age on) with Window XP Pro SP3, 3.25 GB Ram,  2.99 Intel Core 2 Duo, ATI Radeon HD 3450 (5212mb).
 
Any ideas on what I can do to make Shepherd move faster?

also, make sure you're not holding the walk key down

yeah... so... if you're talking about the opening sequence where you have to go save joker, you will slow down once you get "outside". i'm guessing this was your... issue.

I was able to get through the opening. After that was when Shepard started to move very slowly. I really think I was hitting the wrong button.
