[What a Twist]

So there are a lot of tali fans out there, I figured someone could answer this with relative accuracy.

I'm currently working on my "cannon" paragon playthrough, which i'll save for mass effect 3. (Yeah, i'm not big on replaying any game too much.) I chose to romance Tali, since I romanced maranda on my renegade. I just now finished tali's loyalty mission, and figured that would unlock her romance chat options or conversation. Needless to say, I didn't get that impression. She seemed to have the same questions as before, didn't want to talk, and only had followup diologue to her loyalty mission which I reloaded and tried different combinations to, with no differing results.

Have I missed something at this piont, or will her romance only start later in the game? I've already boarded the collector ship the first time and get my new weapon, so I can't really think of any other core plot events that happen other than the reaper, which starts a one-way trip to the omega 4 relay, where I assume you are meant to have already initiated the romance and whatnot.

Just keep doing the loyalty missions for other squadmates, eventually it will unlock a couple of new conversations with Tali.



Keep in mind, if she has a conversation with you in which she starts tripping over herself and says "wow it's hot in here" then you're on the right track. After her loyalty mission she only has 1 or 2 conversations before she's ready to plunge head-first into a relationship with Shepard.



I'm not sure if the geth data for her pilgrimage from ME1 makes any difference when it comes to the romance. I did notice that I recieved a better reception from her on Freedom's Progress on my imported character that had helped her out compared to a NG Female character who had all the decisions made for her already (and no data recovered).

Tho geth data doesn't effect romance, only the first bit of dialogue when you first meet her!

That first bit of dialogue is totally worth it though. Just keep doing missions and more dialogue will unlock for the Tali romance, patience is a virtue! Heh.
