This has probably already been suggested but I was just thinking it would be nice if you could recruit everyone from the beginning(like the modded PC version) and just disable the option to bring party members that are missing recorded voice for the mission(if any?).
I also remember reading about cut content that never made it, like how the game at one point included playing as Legion onboard the ship that transported Shepard's body or something like that. I guess it was cut for a reason but it would be awesome to get to experience some it.
And finally a little ninja suggestion for ME3: Ship to ship space combat (Top down perspective of course). Anyone who's played games like Star Control 2 and Subspace knows what i'm talking about. With so many alien races and ship possibilities in ME it would rock.
Perhaps involving escort/transport/defend/escape missions, or just getting attacked by pirates/geth?/reapers/etc while roaming around. Maybe renegading some transports yourself to steal their cargo. Normandy upgrades would find a new meaning too.
Suggestion: New Game+ Director's Cut

I believe a patch is comming to let you recruit anyone at any time. When released, it'll be only accesible after the 1st playthrough. For Xbox users it will require a few disc-swaps depending on who you want to recruit. Sounds good to me!

I'd like to think BioWare will eventually release a patch for it too (thus I made the thread that you linked).

No ship combat please. Unless it's completely optional. I was annoyed by the ship combat in KOTOR I and II. Even more so on a laptop.

If there were ship to ship combat then I don't want to actually have direct control of the ship. I want to bark orders at the crew from the command deck. That would be more interesting I think.

Yea. The ship combat in KOTOR was useless drivel.A Blind Bandit wrote...

Oh god, not KotOR Turret Battles! Nooooooooooooooooooooo!
I was expecting developer commentary to be the request.
I would like that as well.
And the Tali F/F that got cut.
And 12 different shiny things!

Forget KOTOR turret shooting. More like SC2 (from 1992) but with updated graphics like Star Trek: D-A-C.

A patch to allow anytime recruitment would be great- I would have no problem disc swapping (most of the stuff seems to be on Disc 2 as well anyways, namely Omega, Citadel, etc.).
That said, even if I was on PC, I would not use a mod to allow anytime recruitment, not only for the reason is that's not how the game is SUPPOSED to be played, but because it would probably fudge up the save game and you'd get issues importing into ME3.
One way they could make it work is to force the player to recruit Mordin first (simply because he's so important to the Horizon quest, with his countermeasures) and then open it up. The stuff is there, may as well enable it.
