Duncan's body was eaten completely by scavenging animals. There was nothing left to bury. Are you happy now?

Its not like Duncan is complete gone. Bioware could always write him in too the codex pages giving more background info on the Warden's and those times though out your adventures.

We need to see duncans body! because of the loophole at return to ostigar DLC, His body is missing and we dont get to honor him. If David said duncan is dead but the Rto DLC was never made then fine.

But because his body is missing, we need closure on duncan to honor him like we did with the king.

For Duncan? There is nothing planned.

Because he is dead.

Like I said, the only way he could possibly be used is in something that takes place in the past.

Hmmm, like a Dragon Age: Beginnings? Where one of your companions is a recruit called... Duncan? :wizard:

David, how can you let alistair not honor duncans death? your favour character you said (alistair) and yet you dont want him to honor duncans death, I mean come on we got to honor the kings death in return to ostigar, But not duncan? fair enough hes dead then as you are his writer, But at least let us honor his death, Also not every player comes on the forums, So alot of people dont know that you declared duncan dead.

its very unprofessional to leave such a loophole in this very well written lore game. We only have your word duncan is dead but alot of the evidense in-game suggests he alive (from RTo)

Duncan: The Wonder Years

He'll even narrate his upbringing. I don't know what it will be like, but he'll have a beard.

Well the Ogre that Duncan slew was revived, why not Duncan?

Alistair honored Duncan's death plenty. He grieved over him like a father. He just doesn't do it in Return to Ostagar -- perhaps if he'd found his body, he would have, I suppose. But he didn't. I didn't write Return to Ostagar, however, so I can't really comment on their decisions.

I mean come on we got to honor the kings death in return to ostigar, But not duncan? fair enough hes dead then as you are his writer, But at least let us honor his death

You can honor his death all you like.

Also not every player comes on the forums, So alot of people dont know that you declared duncan dead.

I didn't declare anything. He died at the beginning of Origins. It's part of the tragedy. Squeezing your eyes shut and clicking your heels together isn't going to make that un-happen.

its very unprofessional to leave such a loophole in this very well written lore game.

Loophole? I don't think that word means what you think it means.

We only have your word duncan is dead but alot of the evidense in-game suggests he alive (from RTo)

You mean... the evidence which is not there? The lack of evidence being the evidence you are speaking of?

It's flattering that you're so attached to a character I made, but at the same time a little disturbing. I suggest you accept that Duncan is dead. Sorry to break it to you, man.

To be fair, David, it has been four months of conspiracy theories flying around that were never addressed.

Sure, you can drop in to be sarcastic, but you never confirmed or denied his status until a few days ago when you threw it out there in a "sad face" post where people were bagging Awakening pre-release...

If people are reacting with suprise, it is probably due to this.

I have no idea how you are handling the reaction to this non-functional expansion.

The major thing I noticed is at the end of Origins, Duncan has a voice over. "And so it ended" It led me to believe that maybe he still lived.

In return to ostigar his body is missing, thats 1 thing, 2nd thing I cant remember what character said it (wynn or alistair) said that the darkspawn can still feel duncans power at the campsite as if hes alive. 3rdly Duncans armor was not at ostigar either so he couldnt of been eaten right there and then.

Duncan became a force ghost, duh. That's why he left no body.

So his beard was in the campfire?!

LOL!

But, in all honesty. I think the reason we never see Duncan again dead or otherwise is to symbolise the fact that Grey Wardens will always live on IN OUR HEARTS!

But srsly, none of the other grey wardens who cark it are seen dying, or are ever seen again. Maybe they turn into darkspawn when they die?

OH LUCY YOU ONTO SOMETHING AY AY

Did Duncan know Alistair was King Maric's son? If so...why did he recruit him?

I just saw a video of a female noble hitting on Duncan in the HNF origin. I laughed but was curious.

He used to be such a dashing rogue in The Calling. What happened?

Whoever ate his beard would surely have AWESOME powers.

If the beard didn't win the fight that is.

Wait, of COURSE the beard wins the fight.

Doh!

Obviously it was his spirit talking. :o I thought that was obvious. I mean, for the entire time it took me to complete the game, I couldn't help but feel like there's a giant invisibe (to human eyes) beard hanging over my character and party members, stalking them wherever they go. And it definitely wasn't the Maker's beard. :crying:
