I haven't played this game for years and have nothing but fond memories, am I able to get it from a store or will I have to do download it off the net?

You can certainly still order it (the collection, anyhow; not sure about the other way) online. Assuming you still actually have a functional store that sells games where you live, you can probably get it in there, too.

You can buy the Baldur's Gate collection on Amazon for less than 20 bucks. It gets you 1 and 2 with the expansions.
