Actually, high school does affect your post-high school life, probably more than anything.

I do miss a lot about college - I often said I wish I could get paid to stay there and study, but as I had to pay to be there eventually I had to leave.
In my 30's and I don't see the topic of high school coming up too often, except that my wife is a teacher and in discussing education high school might be mentioned.
High school is NOT the best part of most people's lives.
College, on the other hand, is often such. More freedom, more choices of classes, meeting a bunch of new people in a new place, your first time really being on your own.

Seriously, I belong to an organization that meets every-week, and I'm one of the few teenagers there. Most of the people there are in their 20s. And do you know what they always talk about? That's right, they talk about high school and what they did in high school, who they dated, who they hung out with, etc.
I'm in my 20s and I don't often, if at all, talk about high school, and haven't found anybody else to, either. It just doesn't come up. Which is good, because to be honest I'd be a little put off by people I know constantly prattling on about who they dated or hung out with at high school. Reminiscing is one thing, but 'always' talking about high school is quite another. It sounds to me as if you've encountered a group of people whose lives have not become any more interesting since they left high school. This doesn't actually mean that it therefore 'affects your post-highschool life' - it just means the people at your organization are juvenile and boring.

The only good thing about high school are all the girls. Man are they hot!
The only reason I get nostalgic about high school.
Wow, this time I actually have to agree with Busomjack! He's right. Highschool, crazy times...

High school super bimbos; probably the worst examples of human life you can come across.

My friend, Hell on Earth hasn't even began. Wait till you go to university. Say goodbye to your free time and social life.

Artschool here (game art/animation). And no, don't think us artists are lazy, we aren't! We have a really hard time with our deathlines and stuff!
I think I'm going to buy a big bag of cocaine so I can stay awake 24/7 to work on my deathlines.

I didn't take that picture. I found it online. You're welcome by the way.
People in their 20's aren't really that old. If you said they were in their 30's or 40's, your story would carry more weight. As it is, you're dealing with losers who did not have much to do after high-school.

The girl is fully clothed. Besides, I don't know her age. She may be 18.

(and good riddance that I got out when I did since it now looks like a prison).
from what i've heard, my old high school actually used to be a prison at one point. considering the lack of windows, i'm inclined to believe it.
