I have had the same problem with DAO:A. I cannot install the 1.03 patch or setup in any compatability mode or with Admin privaliges. I'm running Vista 64 Bit.

No posts since 3 months ago? has there been a fix that has not been posted? My wife is starting to hate me when I scream at the pc. I crash all the time I have the ultimate edition. why is it not fixed on that release?

I'm fighting in the Fade right now as a mage and I can't go more than 2-5 minutes without a crash. It's absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe that after all this time they haven't been able to fix the crashes.

yep ... the terrible fade. The last demon took me 4 entire days to beat down the boss. The crashes was constantly ... Im feeling robbed

its imposible to pass anvil of the void ... the crashes are constant ...

someone should answer me , this **** is ****ing true so ... if I do not receive a solution Ill start a legal measures against EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but I have a feeling that won't really get you anywhere. I can only suggest using the core affinity "fix" which is to disable all but one core. Obviously your performance is going to be horrible, but it shouldn't crash. If it does, then it may be some other problem.

Other than that, nobody really knows the answer.

A) I should not have had to fix my registry to get the ultimate edition to run properly. The game should not crash to desktop every few minutes when Ultimate Edition was published years after the release of windows 7.
