Hi, my computer blew up and I had to reformat.  My question is, is there a way to recover my character from the online profile?  It saved everything such as achievements, levels, and all that stuff but is there a way to use the website as a backup and recover a lost character?

No. The full character/game files are not uploaded to the site. It's only an info update.
