Shadowrun all the way.

Probably Activision still has the rights, but Heavy Gear could be nice too.

Maybe they could get something out of Chaousium, but a Bioware Game for the Chtulhu Mythos should be awesome.

Battlestar Galactica would be very cool. As for game franchises, the one I've had in mind and would love to see BioWare make is Zelda!

Post-Halo 3 RPG. There, I said it. Halo. But then without the Spartans (As the only one left is floating in space) and the Elite are now an allied/neutral race. Would be interesting playing as a human, perhaps even elite or another race and seeing what the future has in store. Perhaps more flood?

George Romero zombie apocalypse type of thing?

In fact, I seem to remember reading about something just like that.

Or Terminator would be good. Set in the future war setting. Bethsoft did a great shooter with that setting in '93 called Future Shock. I'd love for them to either remake that or for someone to do an RPG treatment on it.

I think Bioware would do an awesome job creating a rpg of Highlander. Bioware has always been great at weaving a good story and I think if they were to work on a rpg based on the Highlander series they would be one of the few game companies that could pull off a really compelling game.

There's an indie RPG being developed by Doublebear. It's a tiny team created by two former Obsidian employees. Although one of them was also a part of Troika and Black Isle. Anyway, their first game is based around a zombie apocalypse. It looks promising so far.

How about Final Fantasy? Square/Enix thinks they're a film studio these days so might as well outsource development to a company that still knows how to make a good RPG.

That's the one, thanks. I just had a look at the website. They don't even have a name for it yet. No mention of expected release date. God knows when or if it will be out. Five years or more? Who can say?

You can die of old age waiting for some of these indie games to come out. And they're so long in development by the time they do come out they're hoplessly dated.

That's the downside of indie games, yep. I'm willing to wait for it though. It's an interesting concept for a traditional RPG. I'm a unique case, of course, as I still play ancient games from time to time. Dated graphics and gameplay hardly faze me unless the latter is too awful to tolerate.

Blizzard should give Bioware the rights to make Warcraft IV since Blizzard themselves refuse to develop anything involving Warcraft other than that annoying MMORPG.

Remember when Warcraft III was originally supposed to be a graphical adventure game?  Maybe Bioware should do something like that.

I think games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age show that Bioware is best when it comes to making their own intellectual properties.

I remember when I first heard of the original Mass Effect I was mad because I wanted a KOTOR III. Turns out I enjoyed Mass Effect more than even the first KOTOR.

Bioware has done fantasy RPGs and sci-fi RPGs. How about a RPG that takes place in the present?

There's already a thread discussing this. Thank you.

End of line.
