Will any of the dragons in the game be able to talk/be intellegent? Because one of the things I liked about Baldur's Gate 2 was being able to speak to the dragon and get out of fighting them. ^__^ All of the dragons I've seen in the previews/trailers have just been "GRRR" and you have to kill them every time. And, since dragons are one of my favorite mythological creatures, it saddens me when I have to kill them. But, I will if I have to! Thanks for any help!
Intelligent Dragons?

Dragons roughtly have the intlligence of dolphins. Archdemons are.. special. We're not sure how, but they seem to have a great deal of intelligence.

Heh, remember that black dragon in BG2 who would not fight you if you gave him all of your equipment and items?
Wasn't much point obviously as you'd just get slaughtered by monsters straight after.

I first dropped all my gear onto the ground and walked into that dragon naked. >>Lethal_Liam wrote...

I feel the same as Arduine I would like to be able to have a dragon to serve or a more richly detailed dragon cult to join (= the female dragons are not as stupid as the drakes I must point out, so it might be possible for more dragon centered events if they do make an expansion or sequel.

*SPOILERS*
SPOIERLEOPRPEORPSERSOERL**********Archdemons are actually Old Gods (one of 7 ancient god-dragons excavated and corrupted by the Darkspawn). Also, the High Dragon encountered on the mountain peak seemed to be rather intelligent. So far they aren't capable of telepathy or speech and whatnot like in DnD but they certainl understood what the Cultist Leader was saying to her. How intelligent and if they are capable of things like communication is yet to be seen.*************SPSOIELROSPORLSEOIR

No I think the Devs have already stated Dragons are smart beasts, but not intelligent. High dragons included. Archdemons are something else entirely.
