Or maybe since people weren't buying RTO (and they made the items transferable). They decided to do the same with the other DLC items and just hasn't us about it yet..................... lol yeah right thats a wish!Feraele wrote...

They are cru el...cruel I say![]()
It could be the effect of certain mods used..or maybe an unintended bug..or even better maybe they ninja ported stuff that everyone was going on about...as a surprise. hehehe

Im very sorry. I didn't realize that it would do so-as I disabled all mods prior to installing the expansion. If it does have modified stats due to toolset tampering-then I acknowledge that this is likely the cause. I will modify my post title to specify this aberration-thank you for pointing out to me the different stats, and I again apologize for getting the hopes up for others-I myself was merely happy to see it.
All good Dark, Sh!t happens!
I got wades DB Plate and the Summer Sword, it's not my warden armor or 2h starfang, but it's still good
Now GTFO the forums and go kick some ass in Awakening!

For what I've read, I think WK items can be imported IF they're "modded to do so". Or that maybe the use of other mods alters the game in some odd way that allows those items to be imported.
Anyway, could any kind soul create a quick mod that alters WK object's ID's so they can be seamlessly imported into Awakening? I'd be eternally grateful to him.

Such stuff matters little to some. Hell, I was kicking the crap out of the Archdemon with the Cousland family blade and shield.MColes wrote...
You'll replace the Warden's Keep stuff pretty quick, atleast I did and I'm a DW Warrior.

So we actually DO get a new storage chest to replace the WK one? Or is the mod one your talking about?Darkannex wrote...
Yeah, high level stuff is dropping already. But it's the principle of the thing! I paid good money for my shinies-and at the least I can keep them in my personal storage chest!

I still carry the family sword in my inventory, same with the Shield of highever, and the ring Morrigan gave me. Meaningful is different to each person, for sure, but some DLC armor off Sophia's rotten corpse is a 'meh' moment to me, sentimentaly.

This.
I'm beginning to be pissed off that powergamers assume we're all like them. I like Warden commander's armor by it's looks more than its stats, and it's the armor I like the most in the entire game (with the possible exception of the Colossus set).
**** Starfang if you want, but WCA is a must.

Would be my character's response.

I think it's a little extreme to brand anyone who mentions upgraded gear as a 'powergamer'. As much as I like WCA, If I'm faced with a set of vastly superior armour then I'm not sure I'll just ignore it just for kicks.

IA has a number of modular components including a 'Modified Items' folder. If you use that folder almost all of the items in the game are affected.
In fact if you use this mod, even if you uninstall it from the override directory the items that have already been acquired will remain in the IA changed state. Meaning you would have to go back to a saved game before the item in question was obtained. Maybe someone with toolset expertise could answer more concretely what are the mechanics to allow that but the results seem clear enough.
Personally I think IA is a nice mod that does a lot of nice little things. But since a lot of the items are altered and usually upgraded (except the top of the line items which are typically only tweaked a little for balance reasons), you would probably get more enjoyment by tweaking the difficulty-related gda files. Fortunately I use Combat Tweaks which solves any and all difficulty stagnation, not to mention fixing and balancing 95% of Bioware's mishaps in combat (and believe the fix list is very looong). However, I am not sure that Improved Atmosphere won't have any other issues with Awakenings and certainly as a mod its other components will only affect DA Origins content.
Hope that helps.
