It has to be very superior then...I even didn't replaced my family sword until I found a longsword that was 3 ties above it (and mostly because of the enchantment slots).
But obviously a petty +0,5 armor rating would not make me change.
Starfang and WKA imported due to mods?

IA...ok, bookmarked. If no mods about that are released until I begin Awakening (still a long way to go...I've just restarted my char), and my homemade one I'll try to do as soon as I get back from work fails miserably, I'll try that.
Thx for the help!

Am I the only one who's a little suspicious that Bioware reports that it would involve too much extra difficulty to port items over, given their time frame....
But then a user-made mod does it by accident?

Take a look at my recent post at DA Wiki forum, please. I don't know what the deal with those randomly successful DLC imports is:
http://dragonage.wik...o_Plot_Spoilers)
@OP: By the way, do Power of Blood talents/spells work in your case? I get just the animation and the quickbar icon w/o the tooltip (and I'm not alone in this, from reading these forums).
P. S.: If you need proof, I can post a couple of screenshots, of course. But really... Look at the total number of my edits at DA Wiki and decide for yourself whether I'm a troll or a serious poster, all right?
Thanks in advance,

Oh I believe you - or rather, I have no reason not to believe you. IA is supposed to make many tweaks to gameplay, so I can see it affecting this as well. I hope there are no unforsee consequences of it. I DO know that my WCA will not go above Veridum, that could be IA's fault now that I think on it.
The Blood talents are not showing for me at all, actually. I know they were bugged, that they imported but didn't function right. But Im not seeing them at all.

Hm, unless I had WK disabled when I imported?

Errr... I don't have Improved Atmosphere mod. In fact, I don't have anything at my /override folder at all, if you don't count some mechanics testing-oriented scripts (for properties dumping into the log file directly from the console). By the way, initially I had a lot of trouble with original 1.03 patch: had to uninstall, re-install 1.00, then re-apply 1.03, then enable all the DLCs. Worked smoothly after that.

I had no issues with 1.03 that I noted-other than the reported glitch with stealing.
But someone did say that even if you removed the mod-the files would still be altered-perhaps it was there at one point?

No.
Sorry for a Sten-like reply, but I'm quite positive I've never had that mod installed. During the previous installation of the game (pre-patch 1.03), I had the Detailed Tooltips mod (which I disabled after accumulating a lot of mechanics addenda/corrigenda at the DA Wiki -- I couldn't stand the sight of those false formulae
), and that's all, if my memory serves me well. Anyway, with the game uninstalled, registry cleaned, then re-installed, I doubt it could have been the cause.
P. S.: BTW, pardon my English: it's not my mother tongue, so I know my syntax is somewhat convoluted in the morning
No.

I'd appreciate an official reaction. Well, I know I'm probably being delusional, but you never know with those BioWare guys. Maybe that was a part of the hidden PS: Torment-like karma system implemented in DA:O?
E. g., you chose to defile the ashes -- no DLC transfer, you monster! You get my drift

There is another poster on DA Wiki forum reporting the SP items import. Please follow the link in my first post on this page.

Huh? I haven't seen anyone saying everything works. SP items successfully imported for me and another poster at DA Wiki forums. WK items successfully imported for the OP in this thread (though OP, ironically, lacks Power of Blood talents even in their bugged quickbar icon+animation form).

First of all, it's Cailan's Armor. Secondly, RTFM, please: RtO items were supposed to import, in the first place. SP and WK items, however, were not. We are not discussing RtO here - it kind of goes without saying.
>So only Stone Prisoner works?
Not exactly. So far, different posters reported either SP, or WK transferring successfully. My personal experience was with a successful SP import, yes.

Did anybody make some intensive test about the transferring DLC items?
For example, you can take a character with a lot of DLC items and disable all DLC before to transfer him.
It would be really interesting to know if there is a way to help the game transferring the DLC items...

In a sense, yes. I've tried importing a character with pre-order DLC, SP, WK and RtO items. Only RtO (as expected) and SP (surprisingly) transferred. As for DLC disabling -- not ready to take that risk, sorry. Patch 1.03 seems to be quite unstable as far as DLC is concerned. Have no burning desire to uninstall/re-install again.

i_nemetz, do you know if a simple mod that changes WK items' ID (or creates new items that are exactly as the originals and put them into a chest somewhere) is viable? I'm downloading the toolkit right now to try it (I'm experienced with Oblivion modding...if it's close enough it'll only take 5 minutes to create the mod...in theory).
Any further details about the ID bug would help me, too

Thats pretty much the first thing that came to mind for me..yes.As to whether or not Bioware cares to discuss it..well, they do silence very well.
I also thought this..........pretty pathetic that Bioware couldn't figure it out because it was too hard (aka they thought nobody would care) yet here it is , made possible by users.

I knew Bioware would do this- leave it to the modders because they hate console gamers (It really seems that way with the way they do things lol)
Sooo because I use a console, I'm still ****ed- but a plyer or two can do what Bioware claims would take too long? WTH?! Is bioware just getting lazy or what?...
