If we pre-ordered it from EA store using the digital download, what time does it come active to install.  It says Tue Mar 16 12:00:00 CDT 2010, so does that mean like at noon?

I am unable via EA, as of yet. 12:00:00 CDT-- not sure if they use a 24-hour clock, but if they do, I'm afraid we're stuck until noon. Otherwise, if they use a 12-hour clock, it should be available by now.

Been updating the order history / purchase details section on the EA Store website every 10 minutes since 12am CDT and nothing so far.

We just need to be a little more patient, I guess... I do confess I'm starting to get a little bit impatient, though. Oh well, gotta suck it up and wait some more.

Edit - After almost an hour and a half waiting and hoping EA Store would release the digital version of the game at 12am instead of 12pm with a "slight" delay today, I get to the sad conclusion: 12pm it is!

Can't help feeling really disappointed at this, but one thing I know for sure: I've learned my lesson.

I'm off to bed. Good night.

Yep, I've about had it with EA. They have a train wreck going on with Sims 3 and all the bugs, they... Oh nevermind. You've heard it before. They take good things and fock them up.

can any one tell me if this is going to be on the ps3 for down load in north america or am i going to have to buy the disk for some reason i cant seem to find a simple yes or no on the forums

No simple yes or no because it has been unclear as there has been no word from devs. While it is listed to appear on the PS3 via disc,  I can say the NA PSN store is a holy hot mess when it comes to what gets released and what doesn't (see for comparison, JPN PSN store - they get all the good stuff) so don't hold your breath and maybe think about getting the disc (may even be cheaper too given prices on PSN store)

- Then again I shouldn't talk. I got Awkening on PC via EA insead of my 360/PS3 since I got the original on PC and want to carry over my save... and there has been no word on the EA Direct Download... but EA sure took my money.

40 mins is good news, though if I may inquire - was it a post from one of the devs that gave the tip off?

Should I really wait 40 mins on thy word, or take a damn nap given it is past 2AM?

Wrong topic, but PSN version should go up on thursday worldwide.



I don't have info on EA store, but suspect it is similar with other digi distributors - I will check in with them once in the office tomorrow, but hopefully it'll be up by then already.



Something to keep in mind is that digi distributors often still need to go out same day as retail in the different countries they support - again, not sure personally - but if that is the case and you are in EU/Oz you may need to wait until Thurs/Fri when the official street date is in those regions.

Honestly not sure - I only mentioned that as a possible reason why it may not be up for EU/Oz folks.  For NA, I would have assumed it would be up later today at some point, but it is up to the digi distributor.

I can confirm that currently at this time: 12:21 pacific time, Direct-to-Drive Awakening still shows as pre-order status.

That tells me it may be available..as Origins was by about ten am Pacific time, or perhaps this time around they are coordinating release with other digi retailers..and its gonna be noon for all of us...LOL  ( Canada by the way)

Anyways..no more waiting for me...sleepy time.
