Yeah, that ME Wiki page has some known words of the quarian language. It's all very little and basic though. I only know "nar" means 'child of' and "vas" means 'crew of'. Quaians with "nar" in their name are usually young and inexperienced (i.e. on their Pilgrimage). While quarians with the connecting word "vas" in their name have completed their Pilgrmage and have been accepted as official crew of a ship.

I'm gonna name my future child Tali'Zorah, middle name will be nar, then my last name so her name will be Tali'Zorah nar Christopher. And if it's a boy then his name will be Kal'Reegar nar Christopher.

I'm not arguing the choice of Tali as a name for a girl but why would you add the rest? Do you want your kid to be teased? Because you're just asking for that to happen.

name the boy Qwib-Qwib instead. nothing will bring a smile to you face like chastising a kid named Qwib-Qwib. but to be accurate, they would have to be named Tali'Christopher or Kal'Christopher vas <your legal address>. get a three year old to spell that name XD

Should be hilarious when you change your address.

Crap that's true, but I really like the idea of my last name being a spaceship.

As far as I know, the convention used in quarian names goes like this:

<first name> ' <clan name> <identifier> <respective ship>

For example, Tali'Zorah nar Rayya was Tali's original full name during and before her Pilgrimage (which took place in ME1). The Rayya is apparently Tali's birth ship, on which she was raised and all. After her Pilgrimage was over, her name was changed to Tali'Zora vas Neema, implying that her Pilgrimage has been officially completed and she is now part of the crew of the Neema... and so on.

Just like creininger put it above, really. I'm personally really interested in quarian culture -- part of the reason I enjoyed reading Ascension, as the quarians played a significant role in that novel.

How have we reached the topic of naming a child after a quarian? Seriously, besides that I think to have the best effect you'd have the first name ' last name nar (if it's a child, vas if it's teen) and have the very last piece be named after an actual ship you've served on. Doing all this is quite simple with the nar / vas part not exactly being her middle name, just an unoffical add-on. Besides this I myself would love to see a huge mass effect language dictionary of sorts.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I was pretty bummed that Tali's love scene didn't include a reveal of her face.

And I didn't have my gaming PC until late last year so playing Mass Effect 1 was impossible so I played 2 skipping all the good parts of the original. I hope the first official Mass Effect guidebook(if ever made) features an extensive read on quarians because they are my favorite non-human species. Maybe I'm,biased because I'm an IT graduate, but something about a woman who can program machines and have an alluring mystique just really gets my engine revving.

From what is seen on Tali's loyalty mission, Quarian writing looks beautiful.

I would love to learn the Quarian language. That's right up there with being the first person to design a suit of MJOLNIR (suits spartans in Halo wear) armor.

Quarians practice ancestor worship so kellah most likely means "Ancestors" And Keelah se'lai (think thats how you spell it) Most likely means ancestors watch over us (or watch over me, or watch over you :P)

And if thats true then most quarians speak english when they speak to you as it would not make sense for the translator to transalate the word keelah as keelah if it had an actual equivilent in our language.:)
