It is the date where they will auction off more things to American comsumers

Well, considering the date only appeared inside american versions of awakening, I wouldn't rule it out. :P

A prequel? Honestly never thought of that. However, it might satisfy all the people who want to see - or play - chars like Duncan, Maric, Cailan, etc. who died in or before Origins.

Strange that would be so popular (or maybe that so many people think that's what they're working on).

Oh and as an American player, i refused to take part in the auction. Not that anyone cares. I just felt compelled to let my foreign brethren know that im with them.

Thank you. And my 3950 points are available to any of you Americans, if you'll tell me how to transfer it.

I gave up on that auction before it started.  The only way to win is to have close to 10,000 tokens.  The only way to get more tokens is to tweet Image IPB on Twitter Image IPB.  I don't have a Twitter Image IPB account and don't plan on getting on just to get some free stuff.  Can I give someone my tokens as well.  There just gonna go to waist here.

Actually, I am in Canada and my copy came with the leaflet, so that would be a super burn if that was really what it was for.

i don't think they would be that precise on a release date that's a year away, but other than a new Dragon Age game or expansion i don't know what other possibilities could there be.

Its DA 2. Another expansion people? Seriously? They made Awakening in like three months, they could pull like twenty off before 2011 even starts.

Seriously? They made Awakening in like three months,

We don't know when they started, but yes, it did seem rather abrupt, just 4 months after game release (yes we know also the game was ready before it was released, due to console porting).

And ... uhhh ... you been reading the forums, lately? Maybe that wasn't such a good timetable/schedule to get it out the door.

I think that suggests to me an expansion with good QA (forgetting issue of actual length of actual expansion) needs a bit longer.

They can crank the optional DlC out at whatever rate they want. They ought to take their time a bit more with the expansions.

And if they're going to tinker under the hood (engine) and actually mess with code (not just scripts and stuff and the toolset) (for the sequel), then I think they really need to take their time.

'cuz that's where bugs can really start crawling out of holes.

Just saying, is all.

But what about Greg and Ray confirming they were already working on DA2 in an interview with g4? They said they pretty much want to pull an ME2 by using the same engine but pumping up the graphics. An expansion with the same length as Awakening but good, yes I went there Image IPB, should take like around five-six months IMO. I'm no game designer, yet I might add, but if they did happen to make Awakening after the release of the original, than three months to make the thing and another two-three to polish it is the way I picture things working for the next expansion.

I kind of hope it's just an expansion. A fulll sequel is way too quick imo. With a big game like Dragon Age I would rather they take their time. What was the time difference between BG and BGII? around 3 or 4 years? I don't remember. BGII used the same engine as BG(i believe they're both infinity engine) and look at the huge improvement it was.

It's the Dragon Age spinoff game featuring the Orzammar dwarven shop owner. Business simulator.

I was thinking that it was the new Sims expansion pack---Dragon Age Edition. And Alistair will be a Grilled Cheese sim, of course and his personal goal will be to eat 250 cheese sandwiches and be as cheesy as he can.

it is the end of the world in Tolteck calendar, as we all know, it is a very important date in early post-classic period of Mesoamerican chronology.

There have been developer posts stating they had been working on Awakening for a year at least.
