I have an american ps3 and an australian origins. If I download
awakening from the american ps3 website will it be compatible with my
australian game? Just curious.

I have a similar question, though mine concerns EU version of the game and US Awekaning. Because in the EU the addon is distributed only via PSStore and I want mine one the shelf with other games :|

EU and Australia are in the same boat. I think it'll probably work but it's more likely to have glitches, so unless you want to sell your origins and re-buy it American then I think we're stuck with it this way.

Although PS3 games are region free the DLC is now region locked.



If you have a US PS3 an EU game will play fine and dandy but any DLC will also need to be from the EU store.



Same goes for a US game with a EU PS3, US DLC will need to be added.



As AU/NZ come under the SCEE banner then EU stores need to be used for DLC.



If you have US games then you can get US PSN cards from e-bay and the like to buy stuff off the US store without to much effort.



The game and DLC have to be from the same region, it shouldn't mater what region your PS3 is.
