No they haven't.
The launcher still advetizes it in huge letters.
And they cannot actually withdraw the patch, as installation of the patch is integrated into the Awakening installation :crying:

Hmm. That would certain warrant waiting a few weeks so they can drop us a hotfix or something. 1.03 patch itself is probably hard burned into disk so there is no changing it now, but there will be future patch(es).

I won't cancel my preorder because of patch 1.03, but I won't install Awakening and patch 1.03 yet.

I still have 1 character open and since stealing is my main source for healing potions and all that stuff (I have even set stealing during battles in my tactics) I just wait with Awakening until I have finished DAO with this character also.

I've got significant loading time issues once I've played for more than an hour, so I'm hoping those are fixed. However, there are too many *other* issues that have been raised (and I want to be able to take Awakening with me on a trip) so I'm going to do a new DA:O install on a second system (laptop), copy over my save files, and do Awakening only on the second system.

It's pretty screwy that I'm even having to contemplate this as a solution...

I was going to pick it up today at a local store but the patch has me worried. I'd rather have long load times that usually coincide with a break than all the problems it introduced. I may still pick it up and shelf it for now. If they don't have revenue coming in they'll be less inclined to fix things.

Wow: you realize these "reputable review sites" exist so people will buy products, I hope. How many of them do you think are truly objective? Take antivirus software for example: if you went on Norton's website, how many bad reviews do you think you'd see? They would all be, "This is the perfect program!" They all claim to be the best.
Almost no game gets a perfect rating because it would look suspicious. Especially when a quick search on one of the many engines can show user reviews. I will agree some are childish. But you don't need to be a child to act like one. You get to see the bad of a product from users. The manufacturer isn't going to tell you the flaws.
