On what you say:
It is obvious it was thrown in in a rush to make a quick buck. Can't blame them, they're a company who has to pay many employees and make a profit... in the end, it all comes down to that. DAO itself included.
About all the rest... I also agree... so far. It may all change when I've actually played it.
But a friend told me yesterday, "well, isn't it what TOB is to BG2"? I'd have to say, it probably is, so I'm still playing it. :-) You can't have BG2 without TOB in the end! :-)
I can't blame Bioware for trying to make a profit, but I can blame them for releasing a shoddily put together piece of crap before its ready and overcharging their loyal customers. Bioware has a reputation of making high quality, mature RPGs, with deep characters and rich storylines. This product does not live up to their name.
Now, unlike Toyota, no one is going to die because of their crappy business decisions. But I still expected my $40 to get me a much better product, and would like a refund. I can't because of the IP scam.
