Yeah, i'm not sure why people are mentioning the patches. They obviously didn't read the thread title.

If you wanted to play with the dex fix, why didn't you come on the forums and ask before buying? Any anyway, as has been said before, it's a small thing that, whilst annoying and strange, is redundant anyway because rogues are still fine to play. If this bug broke the rogue class completely, I'd understand.

Anyway, you have the game now, so why not play it? Your not gonna get your money back. Items on Live always include the sentence, 'no refunds possible', or something like that, in the description. Just play as another class?

Ask who???? I've been begging a dev, any dev to answer questions about the dex bug for weeks now. All I ever get is silence.

This just play as another class **** does not cut it. There is no reason for us to do this just because we play on a console instead of PC. Hell, if we could afford a good PC I'm sure every last one of us would play Dragon Age on that but thats not possible for some of us.

I have not played Awakening as I canceled my pre-order and am waiting to see what happens with the game and patch etc. but if this is truly not fixed then Bioware should be ashamed of themselves. Not that they would care but they are losing more loyal fans everyday because of BS like this.

You have to be kidding me. I want a full refund of the 3200 points I just bought to buy awakening on xbox.. you guys PROMISED dexterity to be fixed.. Well it's not, now I want a refund, how do I go about doing this?

SSSSSSHHHHHHH! If you complain, BioWare will try to patch it.  Next time you try to play, you're character won't be able to use weapons, or armor, or some such nonsense.

My advice, just deal with it.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. 8-D

Its frustrating to see devs completely avoid this topic seeing as how they are currently answering many of the questions being asked on this board.

I thought that all that was left of the DEX bug was that it doesn't give damage bonus to crossbows and possibly shortbows. Daggers were fixed in a previous patch.

Wow, in the Uk this is called false advertising and thats breaking the law over here. They did promise that awakening will come with all the latest patches but yet this bug still isnt fixed? shameful, Since awakening doesnt come out till the 19th over here, ty for the warning because now im cancelling my preorder and over where when we preorder we dont pay till the item is shipped so i lose no money but now bioware does.

and fyi

2.7 – Have fixes (like balance, bugs, etc) from Dragon Age: Origins been included in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening? (Back to top)

Awakening will come with the latest executable patch / title update for Dragon Age: Origins.

just a little input from my sight - cunning (with lethality) will do you more good anyway...you get the attack and damage but also the armor piercing...only thing that is lacking is defense, but with the legionnaire, shadow and basic rouge tree you get more then enough possibilities to avoid damage - especially legionnaire is awesome for that)

a 100 cunning rogue will outdamage a 100 dex rogue by far - i think there is a post about this on the forum somwhere

I also play on a console, specifically the 360, just like the OP. I'm saving up for a decent PC, which is why I care about patches and stuff. I'm working extra hours to be able to afford one, well, that's one of the reasons.

I would have provided a response, if the OP had asked before he got the game. The unofficial wiki also has good info on stuff like this.

And yeah, sorry about the "just play another class" comment, it wasn't helpful. Some people like rogues and aren't satisfied by other classes, I understand that.

Still, my other point stands: rogues play very well as it is.

To what are you referring? I've been 2 complete playthroughs, both of which are 70+ hours, and a few more forays into various origins, on 360, and I've never noticed these quirks on. This isn't a facetious rhetorical question, I'm actually curious to know.

Let's cut back on the hyperbole, hmmm? For it to be false advertising they would need to have advertised that it was fixed as part of the expansion.

I certainly don't remember hearing that.

Well I'm glad I haven't bothered pre-ordering it cause that is bad.

And as someone else stated that does come under false advertising because it advertises features it doesn't have and under UK law Microsoft/Bioware/EA would have to give a full refund.

You've spent 140 hours playing a game that was just releaed today? Or are you talking about the original? Yes you can get around the dex bug with lethality and points in cunning, but w/e. As for the pile of other issues with Awakenings, they are mostly import issues. Aside from the lack of WK gear (which was known), there are people losing stats bonuses and even a number of their talents/spells.

Yeah, I meant Origins. We don't even have it here in the UK yet, have to wait till friday. I hadn't heard about those bugs, thanks for telling me. Those things sound annoying, but wouldn't lost talents or spells be regainable through those respec tomes?
