Because that's totally legal and helps the situation, right?Madhaus wrote...
Sometimes I think I should download my games from pirate sites instead of paying for them. You don't get the stupid "european release lag", or the "still unavailable on Steam" message...
I checked a short while ago (after 11am GMT, anyways) and still no luck. Some people on the Steam forum seem to think it's tomorrow that we get it.

And yeah, things like this -do- make me want to pirate games, like Madhaus. Maybe it's not so bad in this situation, but Prototype releasing a week later was -just- enough time to make pirating tempting and the new Silent Hill being released like three months afterwards here was just long enough for me to lose interest in the game and never buy it. It's frustrating that as a legal, buying consumer I can't play my games whilst pirates are having their fun right now. It feels like punishment.
But meh, they'll keep punishing me and I'll keep buying their games anyway.

Juggernawt; it's called a "pre-purchase" for a reason.
If I pre-purchase something I expect it to be availible when they state it is availible. If not, I expect an explanation why.

- A countdown timer
- A date
So I think it's just a waiting game for now. Other digital distributors in Europe (such as D2D) are saying it's an unlock on Friday. We can't say we should have it right now because there's technically no date for it at the moment.

Allthough, I wonder why I could have bought it in the store today already.

This release date debacle is ruining my entire schedule, and I can't play tomorrow.
Guess I'll have to wait 'till it's weekend to play a game everyone's already been playing for two sodding days.
Oh well, that's what you get for pre-ordering I guess...

In their movies it's March 19th for Europe. So I guess we'll have to wait for tomorrow :-).

I wonder that, too. It makes European customers feel like second class ones.
For my part, I'll never pre-purchase a Bioware product again, unless it has a VERY NICE promotion.

How the hell is it biowares fault what steam is doing? Seriously im pissed about the delay too but don't give bioware **** where it is not deserved...
Steam will release it after Biowares lets them. All we asking that we get info when the game will be released. I dont mind if its today.. or tomorrow, but i just want to know when. So i dont need to check each hour.

That is my problem with steam atm, they seem to have called off all maintenance on the page since it was released in north america and now they just aren't quite sure what the hell to tell us ;D

Pre-ordering a game exclusively on Steam should provide advantages, not keep you waiting. Everyone else already got the game : stores or download. And Steam sticks to the "not yet released" annoucement, without bothering with an explanation.

I would have gone and got the game from the store yesterday if I thought steam would actually give me a refund.
Amazing that this is how they treat the people who buy the game to support them.
I wonder if all the pirates out there are sorry they didn't do the right thing like us.

The countdown disappeared after it was released in the US, so i'm not holding my breath. If only EA would believe that Impulse has european customers too...

Where does it say that? All it says is "OUT NOW"

Pre-ordering should at least give you the right to know when to expect your order...
