Just out of curiosity, since the ME universe is all about your Shepard and your adventure, I was wondering who you all consider to be your Shepard, (maybe with whom you identify most) whether in terms of class, gender, alignment, etc and why?  Link to poll is above, but I didn't want to drown it in too many options, so I thought I'd start a discussion.

I have done four playthroughs (male paragon and renegade, female paragon and renegade)--yes, I am that nerdy.  But, for me, my 'real' Shep is an Adept/Sentinel female Paragon.  Female because Hale delivered the lines incredibly well (and very close to how I actually reacted).  Paragon because . . . well, I'm innocent obviously.  Lol.  Actually, it took some effort on my part to play through as Renegade because I rather hate being an unfeeling jerk.  Of course, then...then I got really into it (so funny and badass for a lot of moments), so in a way I'm also Renegade, but I find it's more for entertainment value because I still consider my 'canon' Shep to be Holier Than Whatever.

Besides, anyone who can ignore that Paragon interrupt to hug Tali is just cruel.  Cruel, I tell you!

Well...I play as default face male Shepard, since its so much more detailed than the customs. And my favorite class is vanguard since I like the in your face fighting in ME2.



And I usually go paragade I guess. I mean for the most part I play as the good guy, but I'm not gonna be all huggy with the bad guys. If there's a renegade option or interrupt when dealing with bad guys or jerks, I'll take it every time.



And I missed that paragon interrupt with Tali accidentally, Shepard just kinda stood there, and I'm like, "Ah, she's fine."

Male Paragade, I'm neutral. I don't believe in polar alignment and found that choices requiring near max Paragon/Renegade to be completely stupid. Luckily, having a sufficient amount of the opposite was good enough.

I find that, if I didn't have to worry at all about Samara's loyalty mission, I'd have a few more Renegade moments (I still wouldn't push people out windows, as funny as it is). The game seems to reward you for being full Paragon/Renegade though. Actually, it'd be nice if the game rewarded a balanced Shepard as well; unsure how that might be implemented though.

Earthborn/Sole Survivor Paragon Soldier -- I play as the default face male Shepard for the same reason as Laterali as well. Tried creating a custom character but nothing beats the default details-wise.

For my main I use default Shep face, just because I find the face more detailed than customs.



He's an Infiltrator since that class reminds me of USMC Force Recon and Shep's a Marine N7 member.



He's Renegon since he's only nice to his crew. Also, he hates Geth, Batarians and merceneries so you can imagine I gained quite a few Renegade points from encounters with these people.



He hugged Tali because she's like his little sister. Miranda is his girl because just as love was blossoming with Ashley, she valiantly gave her life to ensure the nuke went off on Virmire (did it for dramatic purposes).



By the way OP, I have one Shep for each class, Four maleSheps and two femSheps. If you are nerdy I shudder to guess what I am lol.

I tried to re-create my own ugly mug for my engineer renegade. Didn't quite work but still interesting.

How can all you guys use the stock shep?? Why waste the facial customization feature?

I just imagined the character that way because of the commercials. All my alts are custom jobs though.

I played a FemShep as a Vanguard, which is in my opinion a more 'realistic' class for a female if you look at an average human strengthwise. Biotics seem to be the thing to give human powers their 'oomph'...I dunno, I just can't see a female soldier with brute strength.

Also, Paragade is the best. Some Renegade options were a little bit weird, like...how is shooting a mech in the Archangel recruitment mission a Renegade interrupt? They're gonna get killed anyway.

But yeah. That's just how I play.

Default appearance Shepard, Vanguard, Paragade. I play through and don't strive to make Paragon or Renegade choices and just do what I see fit for that situation which leads to fairly balanced Paragon/Renegade (with slightly more Paragon). It does suck not having those extra conversation options by sticking with one but that's just how it is.

I think it was the impatience/aggressiveness that earned you the Renegade points--not necessarily because you were shooting a mech.

My last Shep was a Vanguard (male) and wow--so much fun.  I just find anthing biotic a lot of fun.

Well, I have four complete playthroughs; I recently started another, but I just haven't had time to really get around to it.  But you can be 90s nerdy!  Or is it 80s nerdy?  Oh, whatever; being nerdy is supposed to be cool now.  Right?

Never even played as a female once, and never romanced anyone but Tali.

My main Shepard is a Male Paragade Vanguard romance with Miranda.

Plus made him close to what i really look like.



Other Shepard's either full Paragon or Full Renegade and the romances depends.
