Hi All: Just asking is the War Dog only a human companion? Has the War Dog been in the Elf or Dwarf lands? If make a Elf or Dwarf will the War Dog stay will me or leave? In the video for the war dog I just notice you see only humans with these dogs. I guess we find out in 2 weeks.

All origins will find Dog at some point.

He is available for all origins, though Human Noble will get him the earliest.

Will the dog be one of your elf or dwarf companions? No.droid88 wrote...

I'm sure I'm misunderstanding the question.

And you can get it early on in the game. They said to "keep an eye out for dogs". So if oyu reached chapter 3 and still no dog, then you likely missed him.

Little hint Dogs are trained and these dogs are used for war.
So before you fight in the big battle look out.

Will the ward dog fill one of the 3 spot for the companions or it will act like a pet for your PC?

It's a follower and fills a follower slot.

And before anybody asks, no, you can't romance it.
At least, I'm assuming not.
Geeze, I HOPE not.

Only reason i'll hesitate in getting the dog is because i don't think it will talk... i'd rather have a party member with opinions.

My understanding is the war dogs opinions are shown in various actions like urinating on a particular entity and such. Actions do speak louder than words :-)

That and if you watch the IGN insider stuff it shows the human noble interacting and its like "Excited Barking" or "Sad whineing" as the text for subtitles. Its adorable to see him bound around all excited on the screen.Dennis Carpenter wrote...

Don't know wheater every pc can get a dog, but atleast the dog plays an important part in the noble origin story. Actually the first companion the character had in the origin when I got to test it in games convention...

I think they've balanced him. And dogs just rule.
