EA wants to rip off more people, and offcourse all the blind consumers will fill their pockets.... smart move EA!, you are really on a roll! brilliant plan!

doesn't fool me though...

We have to pay for demos of games now? Wow.

I think I'll just wait for the full game after reading the community feedback.

I'm betting its a sequel. I'm guessing after the PC version was completed, which was around the end of 2008 (I think?) they made 3 teams. One to work on console versions, another to work on Awakening (Bioware admitted to starting work on Awakening around Spring last year) and another on the sequel. So by the date shown, that would around 2 years of development, enough to make a full length game.

Have to agree, Awakenings was a bit disappointment. I wouldn’t say that it is full of bugs it’s just incomplete. The only bug now is that Origins and the Awakenings module both crash in combat. Usually after I have forgotten to save for an hour or so, my bad.

Also agree that the release dates are set more then the likely for the bottom line of the company rather then for ultimate satisfaction of the consumer, and that’s wrong but it is business.

I do know that I will probably buy the next version. And yes, it better include Morrigan. And if it’s still the bottom line driving it I won’t buy the next.

Also, loving how everyone jumps the gun and immediately starts their hatred of EA. Yes, we get it. They are great at marketing and bad with fans. Please be quiet about it already. I'd like to read one topic without constant complaining about EA.

I think an expansion would be more proper. There is still place in ''Other Campaings'' tab and I am thinking it could be like Neverwinter Nights ( with chapters and such ) and this date is seems a little early for a full sequal. I hope we can get some ''hints and teasers'' about this date later but dor now nothing is certain. There is too many stories for telling and all of them can fill an expansion.



For some reason Morrigan always opens a gate for possibilities. If she can become as powerful and decisive as like her Mother Flemeth , she can even fill a full game ( although I would like to see her as my companion again since we become good friends etc. )

I've been a fan of Bioware games since their infancy, and anyone who thinks a publisher is going to ruin Bioware hasn't paid attention to their history. Let's see, Bioware has thus far managed to weather, and improve, through a long slew of publishers, including:

1) Black Isle/Interplay

2) Atari

3) Microsoft (and LucasArts thrown into the mix for KotoR)

4) EA



Funny how I can remember in early 2000's that Atari was going to ruin them. Then, they "sold out" to Microsoft. Now, I guess it's EA's turn to take the brunt.



Now, I'm not defending any of these publishers. Atari in particular was really bad. But Bioware is just one of those development teams that manages to keep publishers off their back. My guess is it's savvy business management and putting out excellent quality products without ridiculously long delays (...ahem... Starcraft 2 ...ahem...). Publishers just generally leave them alone, and it's been that way for a decade now.



One thing I really appreciate about Bioware is their ability to incorporate their publisher's wishes seamlessly into their games. There's never anything that feels out of place or forced in due to publisher demands. That speaks alot to Bioware's ability, both as designers and a business, especially when dealing with such high profile publishers as MS and EA.
