Warden's keep: What level should you be to do this?

My main character is halfway to level 7, so I thought I would do Warden's Keep now to unlock the extra subclass options for when I am ready to level up.  However, I am getting decimated on the very first fight:  The 3 separate waves of undead are just too much for my party to handle; the first 2 waves wear me down to almost nothing, and the 3rd wave with its boss "warden scout" just causes me to go through what little remaining lyrium and healing potions I have left, then they just tear through everyone.

Is this the easiest battle in WK?  Am I going to just keep getting my ass handed to me if I dial down the difficulty setting to easy (on normal now), then try to bring it back up to normal for the rest of the adventure?  Should I just do Stone Prisoner first, and resign myself to not being able to get access to the WK subclasses until level 14?

managed to finish it at lvl 8/9 on normal! the fighting is challenging, but doable! not sure what advice i could give other then to turn down the difficulty or maybe get wynne if you do not have her yet! things get so much easier with her in the party, atleast for me.

I did it with my mage almost immediately after leaving Lothering. If you go slow, stay together and play smart you can beat it but it will be rough. Mind you I turned the difficulty down one notch for Sophia because Alistair wasn't the tank I thought him to be.
